It's always a pleasure staying here. In the past, I remember staying at the Ibis Central Station and thinking what amazing value for money it was. Rooms were at times just below €100 per night and sometimes just over. Worth every Euro for the convenience of the location. I understand that seasonal rates changes but I'd have to argue whether...

Dont know how to review such a hotel: waiting to check in for over 20 minutes. Abrupt and rude. The room itself was terrible. The bathroom was a disgrace, on the top floor i think , with a tiny TV that didn't even face both beds. The shower was worse, it was for a person with disabilities so was only...

Good location for the station, but you do feel a bit out of the city. The hotel sits on top of the railway platforms so there were times when you could hear trains and even platform announcements which was a bit of a shame. All in all I felt it was more expensive than it's location warranted, but I would...

Great location we stayed from 9th May to 12th May in room no. 415 the room was small as expected. but the only problem was the shower head was leaking and the bathroom was too small. WiFi was excellent fast browsing speed.

Had a great stay here May 2-9, 2013. The hotel is very clean and modern. The rooms are a good size in relation to other European hotels I've stayed in as a solo traveller. My room (758) was in the "Tulip" building which is over the train tracks. It had a view of the harbour and was pretty quiet. The...

Overall is great, especially for the location. It is just right next to the train, bus, tram and metro station. Hotel amenities are quite limited, but front desk was able to provide an electric kettle for hot drinking water and preparing our own tea. We stayed in the fIrst floor on the first day and our room was just overlooking...

This hotel is located next to the train station in the heart of Amsterdam. It is so convenient to walk to many attractions. Across the street is a canal cruise stop and major bus/tram stop. Taking about 15 minutes walk to Damm square where the Palace is located. We took a hop-on and a hop off bus touring the city...

Very nice place and CLOSE to the station. Basically it's on top of the station. But I have to say, didn't feel disturbed by the station noises at all. Rooms quite a good size, clean, airy and definitely soundproof. And the location is very helpful, as its right in the city centre. Friendly, helpful staff, but sometimes the front desk...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
