We have just got back from Amsterdam. We stayed 2 nights in room 584. The hotel has an excellent location right next to Central Station. We looked out over the Amstel river. We had a fab few days. Hotel clean. Nice bathroom. Comfy beds. Our daughter had settee bed which was still very comfortable. You got lovely views of Amsterdam...

We loved the location as we were able to get off of the train and the hotel was next door. It was also in a location to where you could walk to all the restaurants and red light district. You would have to take a tram to get to the museums and Anne Frank house. It only took us 10...

The room was extremely small for 3 people - couldnt move around!Extremely noisy (you could hear the trains all the time) and the room was quite dirty when we checked in!All in all a terrible experience!

It was my second time travelling to Amsterdam when I stayed here and the hotels location was perfect. The hotel is next door to central station so links to the airport were easy. The hotel is also walking distance to all attractions (no more than 10 min walk to dam square) Plenty to take in on the way. Food and...

We stayed in November 2015. It was perfect for our first trip to Amsterdam. As I had booked the weekend as a surprise birthday present for my boyfriend I was a bit concerned about getting around and where would be best to stay so that we could get all of the touristy things done during the 3 days we were...

The hotel is ok. It has a great location just next to the central train station and city centre. Be aware that you will hear a lot of noise from the trains. It didn't bother me and we were on the 8th floor. I wander if it is noisier in other rooms. The air conditioning was noisy and there wasn't...

The hotel was very accommodating and lend us some umbrellas free of charge as it was raining. The food had great variety and the free WiFi was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We could leave our cases in the lockable room free of charge before check in was open and after we had checked out until we...

Excellent location next to the train station. Nice view. Clean. Besides that, no other positive qualities. Even though we had a reservation 2 months in advance, and even though they had already charged the credit card at 3 pm on the day of arrival, they still gave away our reserved room and left us with the handicapped room. While I...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
