Well the hotel is just near Amsterdam main railway station, it is not bad for a one night stay especially if you have a train to catch in the morning. Apart its location, rooms are too small, not too clean, under the beds was too dirty, no space to move in the room, but all in all the hotel is... More

Stayed at this hotel while in town for both work and vacation. You just can't beat the location. I flew in and took the train into town and the hotel is "literally" built over the top of the tracks. (Don't worry, it must be well insulated as you hardly hear the trains once inside). The location was so convenient to... More

When traveling to big cities in Europe, the price and quality of the hotels vary a lot. Reason why I often choose Ibis is that I know what I get at a reasonable price. This particular hotel had a friendly staff, good location at the railway station (though not optimal with the museums etc), clean but small rooms and nice... More

this will be a perfect hotel for you especially if you're gonna use the train as a means of transport as it is just a few walks away. hotel is secured and staff are helpful although most of the days we stayed there the check in counter is busy. the wifi is free but we can hardly connect maybe they... Everything was tiny, the room, the bathroom, the buffet, and for the price I payed it wasn't close to be worth it. Service was meh, and the installations were okay. Only 'good' thing was the location, which still wasn't that good. Honestly, You can get a way better hotel, with bigger rooms and for a cheaper price.

Dear Costa C., Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you did not enjoyed your stay. We indeed have not the biggest rooms, and we do not offer a lot of facilities. We offer a good night sleep and give you the time to explore Amsterdam, because we are directly in the city centre. Should you wish... More

We selected the Ibis Amsterdam Centre because of its excellent location adjacent to the train station. This means that all major transportation hubs are right outside the door. This is perfect for hopping a tram to get around the city or the train for excursions outside of Amsterdam. The hotel is very clean and neat. It is designed for efficiency.... More

Great location right next to the railway station and city centre. Small, but functional and very clean room. Some noise from traffic and railway. Would stay here again. Stay away from the breakfast option though. It is ridiculously‎ overpriced, small selection, served in an institution-like atmosphere and poor service. Go for one of the many street cafees nearby, and enjoy... More

The Ibis Amsterdam Centre is a great location. The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Service was very good. The hotel is 2 minutes to the train station and within walking distance to attractions, museums and of course the famous red light district. There are canal cruises and the Hop on-Hop off city site seeing tours. I... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
