Firstly, the rooms are extremely clean and well presented and have everything you need for your stay. For amsterdam it is a decent price. However do not stay at this hotel if you are a light sleeper, we had to move rooms due to the trains underneath being far too loud, and i class myself as a heavy sleeper. Once moving rooms it was ok, but noise still was a bit of the problem. It is directly in the middle of central amsterdam so all amenities are close by with great transport links to vondel park and musuem quater.

Been to Amsterdam many times and decided to stay here as close to station so not too far to drag luggage. Check in was easy but disappointed to find that one day of the trip (Weds) there would be no water or power between 9 and 5 so could not go back to hotel during the day. We booked through lastminute.com and apparently they do not give email or phone numbers to the hotels of the people who have booked so they could not advise us in advance, however to be fair they did offer to take up by taxi to their sister hotel if we wanted to move. The room was average size for cost in Amsterdam and was very nice and clean - lovely big comfy bed, flat screen tv - no coffee/tea making as this can be done downstairs but you pay an inflated cost for it. For some reason once again only 2 coat hangers - they are so cheap to put in please make order more. Also only 2 small bath towels - no hand towel and bath sheets would be better but overall good value for money, great location (even the trains are just a dull rumble under you and not loud enough to disturb) and the staff as with all people in Amsterdam were incredibly friendly and helpful

The best part of this hotel is its location: easily accessible to all forms of public transport, right by the main train station, and walking distance to the Dam Square and other central attractions. The paid breakfast is quite extensive and good as well. Rooms and corridors are clean in general, though an odd cobweb can be seen. Rooms are too small - that's the main negative point - and the hotel is expensive compared to what it offers.

We stayed in a family room on the first floor at the Ibis Hotel. Unbelievable or not, looking out our window, their were the rail tracks next to our window. But honestly you could NOT hear the trains ! Fearing the worst, we were very pleasantly surprised. Room was not too small, but only 2 chairs, and we were 4 in the room. Everything was clean. Don't know if it was due to COVID-19 restrictions, but we were bothered that there was no toilet-brush at the toilet (also not at the public toilet downstairs). We found that very odd. We stayed for 3 nights, and breakfast was ordered day before. Trays did not always contain exactly what was ordered, and the feel was a bit chaotic at breakfast. But you could easily ask for more or extra at no surcharge. Overall feel of the restaurant was a bit messy/chaotic (not dirty!). Staff was very friendly (but again chaotic). It actually felt like a good manager was missing. Then again, you cannot beat the location/price of the hotel right at Amsterdam city centre. Would stay here again.
