After quite a bit of searching, I decided to contact the hotel directly and am so pleased that I did. We got a special 'relax and recharge' rate which included a bottle of wine and breakfast. They also gave us a special price for single rooms for the children.

The hotel has a lovely lounge area (socially distanced!) where you can sit and enjoy a hot drink or eat any take out food. The rooms were furnished nicely and were a good size, we had baths in the bathrooms! All staff were very friendly and helpful.

You had to collect your breakfast from reception in the morning but it was good quality and included a delicious croissant and a sandwich (which you choose from a menu the night before) as well as a juice, fruit and yoghurt.

We had our own bikes but you can rent them from the hotel and be in the museum district in 10/15mins. In the evening it was quiet and so lovely to hear birdsong.

Hop on a hotel bike and you're in downtown Amsterdam in just minutes. The location of The Delphi is ideal because it is very quiet. The rooms are large, clean and recently renovated. The 24-hour self-service in the lounge is very pleasant and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The upgrade to a very large room was a pleasant surprise. Recommended!

My friend and I stayed at the Delphi for a weekend and our stay was actually very good.

The hotel ins in a nice, clean and quiet neighborhood with a beautiful street-view. The hotel is well designed and has spacious rooms even when sharing and the restaurant is well designed and spacious.

We didn't eat at the hotel but the hotel offers complimentary tea/coffee and fruits which were very fresh and delicious.

The hotel is in a good location and a walking distance to a couple of museums, restaurants and tourist sites. It was also easy to walk to a place to get a Tram or bus. The walks were especially scenic.

The staircases at the hotel could use a facelift. i nearly fell a few times walking down the steps as the step-downs were very slim or not wide enough to comfortably step on.

Overall, our stay was wonderful and would highly recommend the hotel especially if you prefer to stay away from the very lively city centre as there is efficient transport within the city to enable you move around easily.

I am a long time user of booking.com for making hotel reservations and until now have been very satisfied with your service.
However, I have just found it necessary to cancel a reservation made and paid in full more than eight months ago, for a May 2021 hotel stay. Booking.com is not willing to make any effort to obtain even a partial refund for me.
Please refrain from using their service and instead make a direct reservation or use a reliable service but definitely not booking.com.

My husband and I stayed at the Delphi for four nights as part of his 30th birthday trip to Amsterdam. The hotel is down a quiet street but near some cafes and a supermarket should you need one during your stay. It is also very near the tram stop to the main centre which takes about 10 ish minutes. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and smiley and made us feel welcomed. The room was lovely not huge but perfectly appropriate for the type of holiday we like where we only come back to the room for the sleep and shower. The bed was amazing we slept great every night the air conditioning was also of great use during the 31 degree day! Mattress was fab also. Bathroom perfectly equipped for two people. All in all just a lovely place. Our electric did drop out one night but this cannot be helped and the staff ensured this was sorted as soon as possible. They also let us leave the luggage on the last day so we could explore without it before our flight. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. If you like to do a city break whereby you spend time in the hustle and bustle but then retreat to peace and quiet this hotel is for you. There is barely no noise and exactly what we needed after walking miles around Amsterdam daily. It is also very close to the museums which is helpful.

Thank you for a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Kera and gareth xx

Upon arriving at our room on the 4th floor we noticed a strong unpleasant odour. We left the room for a couple of hours with the windows open but came back to find the odour still there. After advising reception they promptly relocated us to a different room. The room was small but we liked how it had a small balcony and a neighbourhood view. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is a little far from the central area on foot but it is nice and quiet and affordable. The rooms were quite clean.

Stunning boutique townhouse, in a leafy upmarket suburb only a quick tram from all the action. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the room offers everything we needed. The bathroom was large and fully functional with complementary quality toiletries. The service was personal and professional, the breakfast was exceptional and plentiful. We would definitely return here.

Lovely fairly small hotel in quiet tree-lined upmarket residential area as described. Very easy to transfer from Schiphol via train to station Zuid then tram No 5 to Gerrit van der Veenstraat stop just around the corner. If you like to walk, the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum are not far at all or trams will take you cheaply to all the major attractions in 10-15 mins. You can buy tickets at reception and staff are helpful. The hotel was not too busy while we were there and very peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast good and also the free tea/coffee supply along with fruit and pastries welcome on return from a day out sightseeing. Be aware there isn't a lounge area at this hotel, just the breakfast room but that was fine. Lots of nice daytime cafes around, but not many eating options for an evening meal - it is better to travel to De Pijp or eat before returning to hotel. NB There is a very good supermarket 5 mins walk on Beethovenstraat near the tram stops. If you are going for the Amsterdam nightlife/bars etc, this hotel is not for you but it was great for us and what we wanted to do on our trip. Would highly recommend.

Standard hotel, rooms were OK, climate a joke - more than 19° were not possible -, water temperature also to low, no water bottle or similar in the room, service was polite. Breakfast has been good. Parking is an adventure in the surrounding, 30€ per day, 5€ per hour. But you need to find a spot. Almost 200€ per night for this comfort is too expensive.

My daughter and I had a wonderful three night stay here mid June. Thank you to friendly and helpful staff David, Jikka, Antonio, Paulo and Óla who made our stay special. We were delighted to help ourselves to free hot drinks, fresh water, fruit and croissants in the lovely lounge, where we also enjoyed bitter ballen and wine. Thank you also for our upgrade and for the daily cartons of water. The power washing of the hotel façade during our stay made sense to preserve this elegant building.
