Nice, clean, great location and awesome breakfast! Breakfast was a wide variety. Room was clean and nice. The location was perfect for great walking and site seeing. I Would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The location was good, only 10 minutes walk from the Dam Square. There is a big supermarket right around the corner, which was convenient. the room was clean but not perfect so the room weather was so hot even in front of window

I had to leave before breakfast, so cannot comment on that; however, the room I was given (room 28) was immense! 2 double beds, a big new bathroom, desk, seating area. bring ear plugs to block out the tram noises and you've got a brilliant room. The staff were nice, it was clean and an absolute bargain {89 Euros in...

We stayed here for 4 nights. Room on 4th floor, always clean & warm. Huge bed, comfy quilts. Limited hanging space, no drawers but shelves instead. No tea/coffee facilities in room but free facilities in foyer. Bathroom clean, best hotel shower ever but toilet area very narrow. Breakfast in basement, small but good choice of food. B&B only so no...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at nova hotel. We were in a lovely room on the 2nd floor with a great view outside! The staff were really helpful and friendly, more than willing to assist us. The location is perfect - a minute away from Dam Square. The only things to point out are there is no cooked...

We stayed here last year and the location is great so we booked again for this year. We were in one of the refurbished rooms again (there is still some work going on at the hotel) and it was lovely, nice quirky décor (maybe not to everyone's taste but we like it!), and a lovely bathroom with a huge walk-in...

My husband and I visited this hotel in February. Room was old but clean. Only good thing about this hotel was that it was in a good location. The staff in this hotel, a lady in particular was very unhelpful. We just needed to call our transport to change the timing yet she refused to even help us with that....

I loved Amsterdam and to be honest, this hotel was in the perfect location (5 Min to Dam square) and 10-12 min walk to the red light district, the Anne Frank House and a number of museums. My room was on the first floor and the only window was a tiny corner window that basically was barely more than a...

The hotel is accessed down about 4 steps and you need to push a bell to gain access. There's a small foyer with some seating and internet access, plus access up a couple of stairs to a vending machine for snacks (paid) and free tea/coffee during the day/evening. The breakfast room serves "continental" breakfasts (no other meals available in house)...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
