So, all the previous reviews mention the hotel is dated and in no way luxurious and all of this is true, however... We had a fairly big triple room (310) with a big bay window overlooking the canal and the back of the Palace on Dam Square. It was a warm December, so each morning and evening we were able... More

If your looking for a cheap basic hotel in a good location for all the attractions then this should suffice. The stairs are as other reviewers have stated are steep, fine for us but perhaps not for anyone with any sort of mobility issues. The hotel rooms are clean but very basic and a little tired. En-suite was clean but... More

If you're spartan and used to live very uncomfortably, this hotel is very good for you: centrally located and close to the most part of the attractions. For what concerned us, we run. Even if we already paid it. The dreaded stairs described in other posts were not an issue, because we had light luggage, but the tiny bathroom with... More

Well as you can see from everyone else's reviews, the stairs are a bit of a pain, but i can live with that. The staff were all friendly & helpful. My biggest problem was how cold the rooms were, the heating was never turned on the whole time we were there, which in November isn't really a great idea in... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights it was in a good position for sightseeing but OMG the stairs up to the reception so steep I would not recommend this hotel if you have any problem climbing stairs Hotel really only good for young fit guests.

The location of this hotel is perfect, you are in the city center, in a walking distnace to the train station. Anyway you have tram to one minute distance to go eveywhere. The breakfast is complete and people is very nice. Considering the price of the accomodation in Amsterdam, they have a nice price. It is not the newest place... More

As everyone has mentioned, the stairs are basically a climbing wall! There in no way of accessing it if you are not able bodied, this however is not the fault of the hotel owner, it's just the building. The receptionist was pleasant. The room is clean enough, I don't have anything to complain about. Always expect the worst and you... More

we booked a twin room and got a double with less than a foot of space around the bed. The room was unecessarily cluttered with a table and chairs, The sink was in the shower area and the toilet was so near the door that a 6 foot man could barely sit down. The stairs were savage - 37 steps... More

Wasnt expecting too much from the hotel as it was one of the cheapest we found that was close to dam square etc. The rooms were small and clean, as everyone has mentioned in the other reviews the stairs were an effort. But the one thing that topped it off was the heavily built male member of staff trying to... More

The location is good for exploring and getting about Amsterdam and that is really the only good thing that I can say about it. The room was dirty and fittings were broken. We were aware of the stairs so that wasn't too much of an issue but they were a bit steeper than we imagined. We weren't impressed with the... More
