The hotel has the most perfect location, near centraal train station which is 20 mins away from the airport. On foot from Centraal station to the hotel takes about 15 mins. Close (10 mins walk away) to restaurants, souvenir shops, historical sites and to Oude Kerk (old church) built in 1213, to museums area (30 mins walk away). Free snacks at reception area were nice because checkin was at 3pm. The hotel and our room were so clean and fresh, as a severe dust allergic I usually start with dusting in hotelrooms but this one was totally dustfree wherever I tried to dust. Bed was extremely comfortable, we slept so good and the street even though being central was so quiet at night, at least we werent diaturbed by outside noise at all, so it must be due to good isolation. Breakfast was just fantastic, in a lovely restaurant at the reception area. It was continental generous with many food, smoothie, cold and hot drink options. Last but not least staff members have been incredibly friendly and helpful, we are really grateful for their warm treatment and hard work. We appreciated also that we could leave our luggage at the front desk until our late departure flight around 7pm. We will definitely stay here again and will come back soon. Thank you all so much! Friends from Sweden (Ps. If you want to visit Van Gogh museum or Rijksmuseum buy your tickets online in advance, they are very popular and well worth visiting, on different days though)

The hotel is very conveniently situated close to the old centre. You can walk to many interesting areas without too much difficulty. The hotel lobby is pleasantly decorated and we were greeted upon our early arrival with a very helpful desk clerk. We were delighted to find out that we could get into our room so early which solved our baggage problems.
The room was in the adjacent annex of the hotel , reached by an under street passageway ( like a lounge area). The room was 4th floor and spacious. Tea and coffee facilities were supplied. The room has a safe, but you need to be over 2m tall (6feet) to be able to see into it. We had to drag a chair into position for this! The shower room was well fitted out. There was a step of around 10cm at the entrance to the shower room and we found that a tripping hazard during the night.
Our one problem with the room was the temperature: on the first night it was quite cold in the room and the control panel did not respond. By the second day it was working fine, so no need to report it to the hotel.
Breakfast was good. There was something to please everyone. Also plenty seating.
Taking everything into account, we would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

Travel tip to/ from airport: The hotel can organise a fixed rate taxi for the airport journey. €100 from airport and €70 from hotel to the airport. Before we arrived in Amsterdam we read that official taxis would be around €65 euros for the journey, so we just took a metered official one. Wrong decision! The metered taxi cost us €135! For the return to the airport we asked the hotel to organise the fixed rate. We had a very nice courteous driver and a more comfortable and quicker journey back to the airport. It’s well worth it!

The hotel is located five minutes from Piazza Ada Anna and three minutes from QL Rosse, the check-in is digital, a screen and a self-service will give you the room number and the key, perhaps a little too futuristic for us Italians..
The well finished room, slightly small, the bathroom with comfortable mattresses and pillows, very quiet, I appreciated that the room faces into the hall (where they have reproduced a small Amsterdam) and therefore does not give guaranteed silence to the street.
I also recommend breakfast in the hotel at a cost of €20 per person because outside it certainly costs more at a lower quality
Good 4 stars
The only funny note is that I received at least seven emails between check-in, check-out and notification, maybe I'll tell the managers, try to send a little less

Having VIP membership certainly helped get good service at the Radisson. It's brilliantly located right in the heart of the old city so easy walking to see the main tourist attractions. The reception staff are completely fluent in English, and made check in easy and speedy.

The Junior Suite is excellent, with plenty of space to work, rest, bathe and relax although there's no bath in the suite, just an overhead shower. The rooms have all the necessary amenities, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers, iron, and ironing board, safe etc. We received a complementary tin of the local Caramel flavour wafers which are delicious.

Housekeeping was very discreet, waiting for me to leave for the business meetings before coming to clean the room. The downstairs restaurant has an excellent menu for both healthy options and fast food varieties. I'd recommend the Salmon salad, or the sea bass with vegetables. Breakfast was included, and it's an excellent buffet style spread from coffee and croissant to full cooked bacon/eggs/sausages. The Herbal teas on offer are excellent.

The only downside to the Radisson (and its not all of them) is they don't accept cash, and every transaction has to be paid for at the point of sale, you can't put the meals/drinks etc on your room to pay at the end? This is crazy - especially if you have to pay card fees per transaction at your bank of origin. We spoke to Roy the Manager about this who was very accommodating and sympathised with our issue. Thank you for your hospitality.

The very kind words you used, detailing everything, means a lot to us and will for sure motivates us to keep on doing what we are doing. Thank you for taking the time to write about your exceptional experience and we hope you will stay in our hotel again, or another Radisson Blu Hotel world wide in the near future. We were expecting the Raddison Blu Amsterdam to be a luxury experience for the price and expectations set on others reviews, however we were very disappointed.

The location is terrific being so close to 'the action' of Amsterdam shops, nightlife, tourist attractions etc. The ambience in the foyer was welcoming, as were the staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a large variety of hot and cold choices.

Unfortunately the negatives outweighed these positives such as:

- There was no carpet in the rooms (whereas pictures on the internet shows carpet). This made the room very cold and unsuited to the Dutch winters. Perhaps some mats could assist?
- Very austere atmosphere with white walls, no pictures and nothing to 'anchor' the experience to being in Amsterdam or the Netherlands
- Thin walls which were not soundproofed (can here what neighbours are up to at 3:00am in the morning)
- Bathroom was tiny and inadequate, no bench space and the floor got soaked upon having a shower.
- Lack of soft furnishings, just a very thin blind

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel based on the cold and stark rooms which felt uninviting - and it really was a very expensive backpacker style of experience. There are loads of other choices in Amsterdam.

This hotel is located in the middle of the city and is a good starting point for excursions and walks. If you want to eat in the hotel or buy something in the self-service shop in the evening, you will have to dig a little deeper into your pockets. Otherwise, everything is great! Clean and modern. Very digitalized, even the elevator only works with a room card (additional security factor) and the staff is very nice and seems very qualified. Room service is also great :)

We stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is at almost 5-8 minutes walking distance from Dam square.

Checkin was smooth and had very responsive guys at the reception. They gave a goodie bag to my son for his stay at the hotel.

I booked Premium Room- Canal view. As the name suggests the room was big enough and had beautiful view of Canal. All basic amenities were present in the room.

While booking room on makemytrip the portal had mention of bath tub but it was not present in the room. After enquiring we got to know that not all rooms have the bath tub. They gave us the option to provide the room with bath tub on third day but we don’t want to get into hassle of changing room in between the trip.

Hotel do not have policy of providing water bottles instead promote tap water as it is clean. But you can have the detox water at reception from noon to evening.

The breakfast spread was good and you can get omelette from the live counters.

My 1.5 year old son does not eat properly so it was kinda disappointing for us to know that they do not have box policy. But it seems more of a Radisson policy rather than this property policy. So please bring your own basic items with you if you are travelling with baby/toddler

If you are Indian then you can have great Indian food at Kailash Parbat. We loved it here. It is around 20-25 minute waling distance from Radisson.

Summary - Great place to stay with views and location.

This is a nice hotel in old town Amsterdam. The hotel is clean and staff were accommodating. Breakfast was not included with the room, but the cost was € 28.50 each, which seemed a bit high. There was a coffee machine in the room but you had to purchase the coffee from the lobby, quite pricey.

I stayed for two consecutive nights 9-11 March booked on separate bookings for each night. The cost of the first night was €249 with breakfast whilst the second was €298.96 without breakfast. This was for a single room with a single bed.
The hotel is a 15 minute easy walk from the Amsterdam Central station and the location is very central but at the same time very quiet.
The hotel is very clean and I liked the mini shop which is open all the time and where you pay at an automatic terminal.
The only feedback I would give is that the staff at reception should deal with one customer at a time and respect this relationship. Whilst I was being served, other guests went up to the member of the hotel staff dealing with me, asked a question and the member of staff carried on dealing with the other customer. This happened twice with me and once with another customer before me.

You can’t miss the building – it stands out from the rest with class and style! The staff at Radisson Blu Hotel are absolutely amazing and friendly. We felt so welcomed and not judged, even for an overnight stay, which is what we did. Check-in was super-fast and efficient and we were given a key card to access our room. The hotel’s location is perfect, only walking distance to their canals, flower markets and museums. The rooms are spacious, elegantly presented / decorated and has all the necessary comforts you need… tele, WiFi, coffee / tea and kettle provided. The bathroom was of standard size, just enough space to put your toiletry bag on the basin with shower and bathtub combo. I don’t like the shower and bathtub combo, due to it being slippery when hopping out of the tub but I must commend Radisson Blu Hotel for thinking ahead of potential accidents, by providing the rubber mat to place in the tub – thank you! The bed and pillows were firm and comfortable and we felt refreshed and ready to start a new day. But WOW… the breakfast was bountiful, they didn’t hold back on their cold cuts, hot meals, fruits, all types of breads and spreads, yoghurts, juices, the list just goes on – even the fussy eaters will definitely find something and leave with a full tummy. Breakfast was exceptional and value for money. Our pick-up from the hotel was in the afternoon, the concierge was more than accommodating to look after our luggage, so we took the opportunity to see Amsterdam. When we returned, we waited in the lobby area and again, their services just does not stop there, they go above and beyond. They have a water dispenser, a bowl of fruit and a bowl of sweets available to take for free – very generous and thoughtful for the waiting customers. And if you want to kill time, they also have a souvenir shop for you to browse / buy. Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay – away from the hustle and bustle of traffic. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure every need was met. Definitely would recommend to my friends and family and should I go back to Amsterdam, I will stay there again.
