Good clean rooms. The usual selection of breakfast foods. It is situated in a good location so you can either walk to the centre of town or to the museum centre. The Red Light area is nearby. There are a number of restaurants in the area. But do not go into the coffee shops unless you smoke pot.

I stayed for two nights prior to a Viking River Cruise. Staff were pleasant and quick to help. The room was clean, wifi was included, the amenities were nice. As part of the Viking package, our breakfast was included, and I don't think the Radisson Blu missed a thing that anyone could want for breakfast. The location has to be... More

This hotel is absolutely fantastic it has a very strange architect inside we got up graded into a junior suite and that was a treat. The quality of everything in the hotels speaks very very good standards and it has a five star and Feel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody wishing to travel for a quick break... Just got back from a three night break staying at the Radisson. The hotel is much larger than you think and is split into two parts. We stayed in the main area with a room overlooking the rooftops (Room 621). This was a split level room and it seemed part of the original part of the building. Whilst it was... More

Me and my partner have just got back from spending a weekend in Amsterdam. This hotel is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were greeted and seen to very quickly by Peter-paul at check in who was lovely. Our room was so nice and clean and big enough for 2 people. As for location, this hotel is just right.... More

The location is excellent( if not the best) situated in a calm street, next to damn square( 7 min walk) and other main squares and very close to the red light district. However it is perfect for a family stay, and if you don't want to notice the district you just don't. The staff were very friendly and helpful in... More

The hotel is located right in the heart of Amsterdam city centre, next to Red light district and walking distance from all major attractions. The hotel is good, clean and rooms are well equipped and spacious. Breakfast is too expensive in my view for the food quality and choice offered. The restaurant is nice with good food at reasonable prices... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
