Had a problem with the stench of a smoker, so had to move room twice, but otherwise a very pleasant stay. We particularly liked the lounge room at reception and guests did linger and enjoy company so it wasn't a pretend shared space. Rooms are small, breakfast very good and the canal views, classic Amsterdam.

Everything was wonderful, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Loved Amsterdam, really enjoyed the museums, especially the Van Gogh. The little known Museum of Canals is well worth a visit. The hotel just made our holiday even more perfect. Couldn't wait to get back to it in the evenings. Had dinner at Spelt restaurant. The food was...

We had 3 nights at Banks Mansion as a last minute New Year break. The location is excellent - 20 minutes walk from the station (or on a tram route if not walking), just around the corner from Rembrandtplein nightlife, and a short walk from the Rijksmuseum. With a secure entrance, just off Herengracht it felt very safe and cosy....

We visited on a family holiday between Christmas and New Year. The staff were incredibly helpful, the rooms were clean, spacious and well stocked. This is not the hotel to visit if you're planning to detox as there's an open bar as well as cheese and cakes every afternoon. The location is excellent and it's lovely to be able to...

After a week in Paris we spent three nights in Amsterdam and were so pleased with our choice of Banks Mansion! The welcome we received from Wendy at the front desk was a great start, and she was there to answer every question we had during our stay. Other staff were also really helpful and pleasant, so thanks to everyone!...
