Park Plaza Victoria has an excellent central location opposite of Amsterdam's central station. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable and I really liked type of sofa they have in the rooms. On the downside, I missed a bathtub, especially since bathroom seemed to be large...More
A Beautiful hotel in city center right nest to the River. Metro Station located next to the hotel. A very good hotel and supportive staff. Lot of food options nearby. Ask for the river view room for a beautiful sunrise right from your balcony.
This hotel has great location, lovely staff and well equipped rooms. I enjoyed every moment I spent there. Nice breakfast, good a la carte restaurant, lovely atmosphere. Good gym room, connected to art’otel, having an amazing bar. Will return!More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

I don't think there is a shuttle from the airport (assuming you arrive at Schiphol airport) to the hotel. The easiest way to the hotel is take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. Arriving at the Central Station, take the Centrum Exit and cross the bridge. It's a 100m walk. The train ticket will cost you less than five euro's.

I stayed a few weeks ago and went near a week ago. The hotel was constructed years ago. Perhaps someone meant under renovation then this is something most hotels do and in my opinion they try to make sure guests are happy OR they meant the hotel is near construction sites. This is true there is a lot of construction in Utrecht but again it probably won’t affect your stay. I found the hotel absolutely fine.
