- Quick and friendly check in. Provided free map which was quite a good one as we'd lost ours in the morning - Gave us a room on the 10th floor with a great view of the city - We slept late so put our do not disturb sleep out. On return later on, staff had left a bag of...

I visited Amsterdam for four days, staying at the NH Tropen the entire time, which my travel agent in Munich had set me up with. It is just outside the "old Amsterdam" region, a tall, narrow, ten-floor building surrounded by a park, and adjacent to several tram lines, which is very convenient. As luck would have it, they put me...

Was pleased with our stay at the hotel. It is as others have said some distance away from the city center, but the tram stop right at the hotel it was no problem to get into town. Otherwise, we got free wifi internet when we asked at reception and breakfast was expensive, so we did not bother. Will most likely...

My boyfriend and I stayed for a few nights in January for his birthday. We pretty much just chose the cheapest hotel available for that weekend so were expecting the room to be extremely basic and outdated. The outside lived up to our expectations, but as soon as we entered our room we were pretty amazed. The room was larger...

We booked this hotel primarily because of the price. Visiting Amsterdam over the Easter weekend meant that prices in the city were sky high and availability was limited (we probably booked about 6-8 weeks before travelling). The hotel is located in the Eastern part of the city, 3km from central station - if you were inclined to you could easily...

I Went to Amsterdam with a few friends for my birthday in feb (all first timers) and I must say it was AMAZING, after reading a few reviews I didn't know what to expect so I didn't have any expectations. To start of with location was great because there's a tram stop right outside the hotel which was really good...

Have actually stayed here twice. As with all NH hotels I have used, quality is above average but nothing special. This one is starting to feel its age; the rooms were clean but not pristine, carpets are starting to look worn, that sort of thing. Easy access to city centre and science park via tram. Breakfast is poor - not...

Room very clean, excellent maid service. Head Receptionist Dionne excellent, very helpful especially with the mix up over our stay which we had paid for prior to arrival-she sorted the problem out within a couple of hours without drama All staff within the hotel were excellent, & we will certainly be staying at the Tropen again in the near future.

On a 2-day business visit to the hotel, I called the hotel BEFORE arrival if parking my car at the hotel premises would cost me considering I was their customer for 2 days. I was told I could park for free. On the first day, the reception desk even gave me a parking ticket without any charge. The second day...
