We stayed at the Tulip Inn Amsterdam City West for two nights. It was a very unpleasant experience due to poor customer service and a very poor location. First, the customer service experience is awful to say the least. We booked a package via the hotel's own website. When we checked in, we were told we did not book a... More

This hotel is at least 30 minutes by tram to central Amsterdam. The area was very residental and quiet with a view of canals from our window. Next time we are in Amsterdam we'd probably stay much closer to the city. Maybe it would be faster by bike? They have bright yellow bike rentals - a good idea so people... More

I stayed here for two nights in April with a large group of students. This was our last stop on a ten-day tour of France, Belgium and the Netherlands. I would say this was one of the hotels the kids liked the most (the others being Lille and Paris). Rooms with lovely beds (I had a king-size bed), fairly nice... More

The hotel was ok - not the best, but you get what you pay for. Staff were friendly enough, but amenities quite basic. HOWEVER - you don't want to walk around outside as it is really not a good or safe neighbourhood (Google earth streetview it). We walked from the hotel towards the tram stop and were watched by a... After reading some earlier reviews which for the most part seemed ok, My husband and I decided to book 2 nights at this hotel and were very disappointed indeed. Where shall I begin.... The location was awful - in the middle of a horrible area . At least 25 mins by tram to the city centre which was a bit... More

A large, clean and comfortable (if dated) room but much too far from Schipol to make it a viable overnight stay. Info states there is an airport shuttle bus....but beware, this will cost you 14 euros each way, per person, which makes it an expensive stay for a couple or family. We opted to take local transport which was an... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Tulip Inn, The staff were extremely friendly and helpful without bein too in your face, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the smell of Canabis is usual in the morning and where I found it very pleasent some people might not, I would definatly stay there again. A very pleasant place to stay... More

We would recommend this hotel, rooms and beds comfortable. Reception staff very helpful. The hotel is a little way out of the centre of the city a half hour tram ride and we would recommend a sat nav to find the hotel if driving. However we would suggest Not dinning at the hotel in the evening, expensive and tasted like... More

Stayed one night in this hotel in an airmiles deal, the room cost £80 for the night & was not worth the money. It is very far out of the city in an area called Osdorp (later described to us like going to London & staying in a hotel in Brixton) The bathroom smelt like an old people's home &... More

After 40 minutes by tram (from Central Station to Hoekeness) and about 15 minutes by walking we have finally find the hotel. At the reception they told us that something was wrong with our reservation and they have done an overbooking. They send us to Holiday Inn, outside Amsterdam, one hour far from the city center. We were very disspapointed... More
