Talk about customer service this place knows how to deliver it. From the minute we arrive the 2 front desk employees could not have been more friendly and helpful. I believe the girls name was Valarie. She was wonderful and helped us with so many things. We were even allowed to check in as soon as we arrived and that is rare these days ( Unless you Pay extra for it!). The room is clean and adequate. It is on the small side, and there is no separate bathroom. But the location more than makes up for this. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Perfect location! They are doing road construction in front of the hotel which is not ideal, but we never heard a thing. It just makes if problematic for getting say an Uber. You can get a taxi but not an Uber so keep that in mind. It is so well located you won't need either often and if you do you just walk up the alley ( about 2 minutes) and you can order Uber from there.…
Stayed here a lot of times - it is an old newspaper building converted into a Sofitel. The rooms are brilliant with Amsterdam street map wallpaper that is hand written. The quality of the rooms is very high if a bit small, but you are right in the centre. The bar area doubles as the restaurant and breakfast. Food is great - its child friendly and also good for business. I stay here for both.
Not your typical hi rise hotel, unique in appearance. Found it a great location, very clean and staff were so helpful, even offered umbrellas on a rainy day. We were on the back side so noise was not an issue. Would stay there again for sure.
Do not stay in room 500 as the air con doesn’t work. They said they fixed and they didn’t. The alternative is a rather noisy fan. Luckily it’s not boiling in Amsterdam in the evening, if it was this room should not be available. They also didn’t clean the room once even after we asked them too. On the whole really nice hotel, and very friendly staff and great location. However those 2 issues, especially the aircon really let the side down.
Visited the hotel in Aug for 3 nights, stayed at Room 500 but air con was not working. We told reception on day 1 of the issue who said she was going to send someone to take a look, but when we came back to the room that night it the aircon was still not working (it was very mildly blowing air). We asked reception again that same night and opted for a fan as a temporary solution. Luckily the nights were quite cool for summer and the fan helped to so we decided to stay in the room rather than the prospect of packing/unpacking and moving to a different room. I would hate to stay in that room on a hot summer night The other critique I have is with house keeping. On our final day by 4pm we were still waiting for the room to be cleaned with new towels and coffee pods etc. At 430pm we asked reception to get our rooms cleaned as we left for the evening and the man said he would send someone in straight away. We came back at 9pm and the room was still not cleaned. It’s not the end of the world but please do what you promise you will do. It is not the standard you’d expect from the Accor brand. The positives: good location 5 min walk from Central station and the Dam Square, however there is major roadworks going on at the front of the hotel which makes it impossible for taxi/Uber to drop you at the front of the hotel. Room decor is very cute. I love the wallpaper with the Amsterdam map. Also The Italian bar man was very friendly…
One of the best places and services I have been in, the staff were great especially Goretti Rufino she make us feel soo special…. The location was great near to everything we love it and foe sure we are coming back. Thanks for everything
For the price I expected more. First location is great and the staff were fantastic- very helpful and lovely. Robes & slippers were nice. Rooms are very small and difficult for 2 people with luggage and to move around. There was a lot of street noise and noise from other young guests in the hallway. Bathroom is in the middle of the room and does not have a door on it so there is no privacy. Toilet & shower doors were glass with no seal. The shower leaked all over the floor as the shower door doesn’t close and as the bathroom is very small and open, towels and anything left nearby was soaked. Housekeeping needs a lot of work. First morning we used provided coffee pod and milk packets- neither were replaced and I had to contact reception for replacement of milk. Water provided on arrival was also not replaced. Used toiletries in bathroom also not replaced. We left a bar of soap (only used once) on the sink, it was taken but not replaced with a fresh one! So no soap for hand washing! Bins were not emptied. Seems all they did was make the bed and fold the towels. Honestly the rating is just for the staff- everything else is not up to standard for the price.…
The location is superb , 3 min walk from Dam Square, 10 mins from the train station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening meals were very good but the bar does close at 10:00pm. The room was very nice but the bathroom was designed in the middle of the room with a frosted glass door and this room design does not create much privacy when using the bathroom. Overall it was a fantastic stay and we would most definitely return to the INK Hotel.
We had booked to stay at INK as we had previously used MGallery hotels but this particular property was disappointing to say the least. On their website they claim to "deliver a luxury lifestyle experience" but I am unsure if they understand what that actually means. There were dirty stained carpet tiled corridors and the room was tiny with the sink in the middle of it and just a frosted glass door for the toilet - there was no separate bathroom it was integrated into the room. The bed seemed like a small double and was certainly not comfortable. After our return from dinner one evening at 9.45pm we thought it might have been nice to have a drink and sit in the little courtyard garden but we were told that the bar would only serve a soft drink as it was closed. I have never been in a hotel where the bar was closed at 9.45pm to guests!! One or two of the reception staff are also quite rude. As regards the location the hotel it is near to Dam square but it is on a busy road and can be particularly noisy at weekends. Basically we would not stay here again and I am sure there are some nicer hotels in quieter areas that are not charging expensive rates and where you can have a drink of an evening after dinner!…
The location is great, close to the train station Check in very smooth Breakfast one of the best we have had Restaurant food was great and priced reasonably Staff from check in to dinner and breakfast we’re happy, friendly and very helpful
