Stayed her for two nights early February - classed as central hotel but still a good walk to Dam Square etc. Clean and friendly. Rooms comfortable, other reviews mention the open plan bathroom - not a problem! The toilet has a door so does the shower, if anything they are a little on the small small side. Didn't eat at...

Booked the hotel on a last minute deal for my boyfriend and I. Chose a superior double room and was not in any way shape or form disappointed! The location was fantastic. Not too close to be too noisy but not so far that you were miles from everything. The most comfortable bed in the world with their feather and...

Very modern looking interior and comfy furniture. Room was a decent size, with a really comfy bed. I have back trouble and compared to my orthopaedic mattress at home it was a very good nights sleep for me. lol Staff were very pleasant and as it was our mini honeymoon they put some rose petals over the bed, a card...

Went with friends and work colleagues. Beautiful lobby great central location and I am happy to say the best beds in the world. It was like sleeping in a cloud and the other 11 agree whole heartedly. One slight problem was the reservations process, very little conversation between front desk and reservation department other than that an amazing first time...

Brilliant location in tourist central. Super design, especially the lobby area and hip bar - Momo - attached. Brilliant breakfast (but you have to pay extra sadly) and a very decent gym that will let you borrow kit if needed (didn't check if kit is an extra charge). Thats the thing with these hotels: although its €180+ per night everything...

The check-in was with a rather loud and unwelcoming check-in and the check-out was similar whereby I was asked to move with my luggage to another person in the very usual unapologetic Dutch way. Only the young man who was acting as a concierge and helped with the feebly underperforming internet seemed to care about issues with the hotel. The...

I was very impressed with this hotel it terms of cleanness, helpfulness of its staff and overall style and ambiance. It is located just on the outskirts of the city centre with a couple of minute walk to one of the main night life squares, which was very convenient for us. Would definitely recommend this and stay here again myself!

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
