Long weekend in Amsterdam over Easter. Very cold, tried to snow, but nice & Sunny! What a fantastic place Amsterdam is, never been before, but my wife and I really enjoyed it. The culture, the shopping, the restaurants and the buzz of the night life with all the bars. We stayed in the Hotel Park, which is in a perfect...

We were upgraded free of charge to a superior room and after hearing about our recent engagement were delivered some handmade chocolates and a personal note congratulating us, all making our stay extra special and adding to a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. it was a bit pricey and I'm pleased we didn't have the breakfast as it cost...

The room that we were given faced the street and it was very noisy with the trams and other street noise. Breakfast was included in our package so I can't comment on its value but it was a very varied and tasty spread which included eggs, bacon and other hot food as well as plenty of fruit and veggies. We...

This is a well presented and well located hotel with modern facilities. What lets it down is the price of the "extras" - breakfast at £20+, Wi-Fi at £10 and pricey drinks and snacks at the reception bar. This may suit those on a business account, but would soon add up for a family city break, such as ours. Luckily...

My mum and I stayed last weekend. Beautiful hotel. Very modern. Had problem with heating in our room (Room 230) and reception staff were very helpful, moving us to another room (room 651) which was perfect. It was at back of hotel but looked out on Rijksmuseum. Be warned that the beds seem very soft but there is information about...

First impression is of a nice stylish boutique hotel. However, breakfasts are seriously overpriced when you just want juice, coffee and a danish. Hotel information, said wifi was chargeable, was not made aware wifi was free in the lobby. The main purpose of a stay is a good nights sleep. The single bed has a thick topper on it. This...

I am saddened to read your review as, although your view is perhaps not in keeping with the general view of our guests, it's a pitty that the bed did not suit your expectations. Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
