We stayed at this hotel before joining our Viking River Cruise. The hotel is lovely, rooms spacious, bathrooms luxurious. Beds very comfortable. It is a bit outside of the city center in a quiet neighborhood, but there is a #12 tram very close by that will take you into the historic section of the city. (I might add, the location of the hotel was a plus because the city center was jam-packed with tourists in early August and we would not have enjoyed staying there.) We arrived on a Sunday night too late to eat at the hotel but our wonderful bellman "Marian" was extremely helpful giving us suggestions of local places to get a bite. There is a beautiful indoor pool and spa which we saw but did not have time to use. We had breakfast in the hotel and there were plenty of offerings, good coffee, eggs made to order. Our second night at the hotel we ate in their "Serre" restaurant, which offered outdoor dining.. We found it very expensive and food somewhat disappointing. Other than that, we had a very nice stay and would recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel with very great facilities and charming rooms. Pool and Gym and Spa are exceptional and staff is really professional and available 24h and really friendly and nice. I loved my stay here in this hotel , I highly recommend it both for business and for leisure as well. Super well connected with all the main attraction of Amsterdam, and most famous spots and museum. I loved the breakfast and the service. Room was amazing with a very nice view on the city , bathroom bath and shower exceptionals. hotel high recommended

Breakfast was great. Very friendly! Good food. Charlie was friendly! Wonderful atmosphere and service. Hotel staff were excellent in providing assistance as needed. But Charlie’s service at Le Camelia Breakfast was the best! 5 stars for The Hotel Okura!

If you ever think of organizing a party, do not do it here. The event planners were the worst I have ever experienced, amateurish and not professional at all. With the amount of money it costs you would expect to deal with people that have experience. I had the worst experience, most of my wishes were not executed, final execution was poor, no proper planning and therefore last minute disasters which I was forced to accept since you cannot cancel a party of almost 90 people from around the world at the last minute. Then after many discussions on how the event went compared to expectations all I got was a discount on some awful furniture they found at the last minute. I cannot believe it. Last but not least, I have been waiting since July to close this issue but it is still ongoing since I had to wait till now to get an invoice (which was also incorrect) and am now waiting for the correction which hopefully will get to me before the end of the year....Unbelievable. If I could only speak to the Manager of the hotel, maybe he can send me the correct invoice and I can finally settle this nightmare.

Every thing about the hotel exceeded my expectations. From the facility to the staff to room comfort to the amazing restaurants. Customer service by literally everyone we encountered was a pull out all the stops make the customer thrilled to be here experience. And did I say the location is outstanding? Away from the intensity of the city center and only a ten to fifteen minute Uber from most everything.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Okura and wanted to share what a fabulous experience we had. We arrived early at 8:00 am after having flown for over 24 hours and to our surprise they let us check in. Upon checking in I reminded them that I had requested an upgrade to a Superior Junior Suite and was told that since that room wasn’t available, they upgraded us to the Panoramic Suite which was absolutely beautiful. Extremely clean room and attention to detail. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! They offered a juice and smoothie bar, a traditional Japanese breakfast bar, fresh omelettes, breakfast meats smoked salmon and local cheeses. Also, the best fresh fruit. One morning they even had a whole honeycomb dripping with honey! They also had a cappuccino station. We were both very impressed. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for a truly memorable experience we will never forget.

So...if its your first time in AMS, not sure I would suggest this hotel for you. Its in a lovely residential neighborhood, a bit of an anomaly but its own little tucked away - i mean tucked away - corp style property away from hustle and bustle of city. Its my upteenth visit to AMS, De Pijp is my fave hood, and second stay at this property so I thought Id review. I come for the luxury and location. De Pijp has my fave scenes to hang out in, my fave coffeeshop Katsu, and I love seeing/watching/interacting w/ locals from cafes/bars/restaurants as they live their enchanting lives. However, its a hike to center and major tourist spots but if u bike or take trams - i love walking and why i come to ams so often...its one of the best walking towns in the world and its very cool to walk from quiet and serene into the busy streets of centrum. the hotel: 5 star. Great service top to bottom, being greeted, great amenities including a stunning indoor pool, fun roof top with killer views and you most likely will get great views. Interesting note: in summer of 2017 my 1st visit, got a hotwire here at a crazy good rate and discovered it. traveled solo both times. sent my sis and her inlaws/fam here for a visit in 2019 at slightly higher prices. This time in 2022...more than 2x...almost 3x. Got a deal via AMEX and LWH that made it far more valuable than a 4 star in the city plus lounge access. Late check out. And i didnt love the view from my first room on 6th floor (and really dated - albeit still nice - design) on 6th floor...and after mentioning on day 2 of 4 night stay, without me even touching base, at 12pm the next day i got a call and they offered to bring my luggage up to 20th floor for new room. whatttt? 5 freakin stars right then and there for that. the higher floors must have a diff design scheme bc it looked way updated and was gorgeous. all of the rooms have huge tubs i believe, this one as well overlooking city. this was panorama suite. on top of that, club lounge access all day with amazing crisp white chenin blanc bottles just waiting to be poured from 5-9pm. All staff super nice, professional and efficient. Bed: amazing. the best of my 5 hotel/3 country/mix of 4-5 star properties....sooooo amazing. i slept very well. great AC etc etc So...there are times you want to be very "in it" and times where you want a luxury place to sleep and bathe and do ur thing before /after being out and about great for all types of travelers. i mean, i have friends in city so if ur alone, not sure u will find it the most social place since lots and lots of families. its for the luxury. and this is a true 5 star property.

Wow!! My husband booked a surprise trip and I was not disappointed. From entering the hotel's lobby you know you're in for a treat. We stayed on the 17th floor in one of the Panorama Rooms which gave you access to the 22nd floor lounge. The views were amazing and the room was clean, spacious and luxurious. They have their own little jetty which was lovely to sit out on, especially at night when everything is silent and peaceful. They have a lovely spa, gym and pool. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return and highly recommend
