I enjoyed my stay here. Friendly staff. A lot of measurements for COVID19. The only problem and the most biggest problem, is the air-conditioning. It's annoying, because apparently it's a problem which all the staff members are aware of. Someone came to turn it off and it went on again. Later on, other people complaint about it too. So please, fix this problem! Please!

Dear Carrilho Rodriquez, Thank you very much for sharing your experience at our hotel. We are happy to be informed that you had an enjoyable stay and that our staff was very friendly. Nevertheless, we are sorry to find out that the air circulating system was not working accordingly. This should not be the case. We informed our Maintenance Staff about this and they will look into it straight away to prevent this from happening in the future again. We want to thank you for choosing our hotel and we look forward to welcoming you to our hotel in the future. Kind regards, Ben Breekveldt

Long overdue review as I stayed at this hotel in October 2019 for a week. The staff are what makes this hotel amazing but before I detail about the individuals, let me share some information about the hotel and it’s location. Hotel is easily accessible via the Metro station 8-10mins walk from the hotel or via Uber. The great aspect of this hotel for guests on holidays and wanting to exploser the canals of Amsterdam is to experience the canal boat just outside the hotel restaurant. It is a must do and only cost €6. You will get great insights and enjoy the scenery with water-homes along the way. The rooms are on the small side but very functional and clean. Now, let’s get to the amazing staff starting with Lars at the front desk who was very accommodating in making sure he could get me a room at noon when check in is much later in the afternoon (after he heard that I’ve had a 26hrs trip to get to AMS). This followed with my interaction and service from Demi at the restaurant. A very friendly and attentive person. Next few mornings I dealt with Alan and Catherine (I think). These are the team who look after the dedicated breakfast area for their valued guests. One thing I’ve noted with this hotel is that based on your tier, your room keycard is assigned accordingly making it easier for staff to identify you and your benefits. Overall great hotel and with great staff. Will definitely stay again as it’s close enough to work.

Very friendly and cheerful staff who are always willing to assist. Nice, clean and comfortable room even if it's a squezze. Good breakfast buffet. The train is about 10 minutes walk but the wind is rather chilly. There's a boat that goes to Centraal just behind the hotel. Only 1 trip at 9.30 daily. Uber and taxi is easy to get. The TV was a bit of an issue. It switches off by itself for no apparent reasons. Overall, a good stay.

My sister and I stayed at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City in December. We were greeted by the most friendly staff and were swiftly checked in. Our room was clean, modern and actually really beautiful. We paid for breakfast and I must say it truly is worth the money. A wide array of things to choose from. I would absolutely stay here again. Amsterdam’s public transport was such a pleasure to navigate and the people were so helpful and friendly, everywhere! My only constructive criticism it that, during such a busy time, the hotel should consider some more complimentary shuttles to the metro station. Thank you for a memorable stay and for making our trip super special!

I booked this hotel for my daughter and her partner for her 21st birthday. They both really enjoyed their stay in Amsterdam and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the room. As it was her 21st birthday I contacted the hotel prior to their stay and Nicky was extremely helpful helping me arrange for some prosecco to be delivered to their room. The staff also decorated the room with balloons which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. They would definitely stay here again.
