This is a very good 4 star hotel. The room we had, 3030 was quiet and comfortable. The staff made us feel very welcome. There were healthy cold drinks and apples in the lobby when we arrived. I asked for an extra blanket and it...More
We visited this hotel 9th-11th Nov 18. We were told about how expensive taxis were in Amsterdam so we got Uber’s everywhere which is way safer than I first thought. This hotel is clean and efficient, nice shop and bar. The staff are really pleasant...More

I can't remember the details but I went by train. Information at the stations is very good and most people speak very good English. You can find out about different fares. It is a longish walk from the train if you have heavy luggage and steps to go up and down. Email the hotel for information - they were very helpful before I arrived. In the mornings they used to have a free shuttle to the station.

The metro is a really good option. The museum district is much closer than the city centre and much better for eating out. Typically, we would get the metro to the centre, end up asking to the Museum district and then taking an UBER back to the hotel - I think it was only 7-8 euros ? Metro is really good.
