We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, which was very spacious and well kept. The staff at the hotel was polite and helpful. The bar was closed due to staff shortage, yet, they were willing to get a round of free drinks for us. The hotel is right in the middle of the town, so easier for sight seeing, shopping, walking distance to the station and night life. Had a variety of breakfast options and fresh ginger & mint for ginger tea.
Me and the wife stayed here while visiting Amsterdam for a long weekend on Arrival we was warmly welcomed by the reception team and got our room allocated quickly. The hotel is lovely and Modern very clean with very organized staff. We went to our room and Wow!!!! it was very nice to say the least. we had a hot tub and sauna in our room. the room was clean and very spacious. only down side to it was the view from the window but to be honest we wasnt at all bothered about the view and Enjoyed our time in the hot tub and sauna. we had a mini fridge so we could keep any beers wines etc that we brought from the little supermarket shops or from the vending machine which was very handy to have. we also had a nespresso coffee machine in the room which we also enjoyed. Also we had bath robes and slippers in our room. The cleaners where very nice and friendly and they done a wonderful job of maintaining the room for us during our stay. However we did have a bad experience with one member of staff on reception one evening. unfortunately we was in Amsterdam just as the government decided to close all bars restaurants and coffee shops due to covid19 outbreak. so we was trying to find out about getting food delivered from McDonald's or domino's etc. but we was having trouble doing this and the gentleman behind reception didnt want to help us in anyway and he came across rude so unfortunately we ended up having crisps and chocolate for tea which wasnt great but unfortunately this is all there was. But overall we did enjoy our stay and we would definitely stay here again cos our room was lovely and the location of the hotel was brilliant …
I booked this hotel for 6 days as we were celebrating our honeymoon. Upon arrival, the reception staff told me that they ungraded us to a quiet room on the newer floors which I thought was a great touch. The location of the hotel is perfect as its only a couple om minutes away from Dam Square and the Central Station. The staff were really charming and they would always greet you on you way in or out of the hotel. The room as I mentioned was on a renovated floor and was of good size. The only thing which was a bit annoying was the housekeeping which I thought was a bit slow as sometimes I would return to the hotel at 3pm and the rooms was still not cleaned. However, everything else was really good and I would definitely consider this hotel again when coming back to Amsterdam.
Let me just start by saying the location of the hotel was perfect. It was in the centre of shops, walking distance from most of the attractions and easily within range of public transport. Was a lovely area. The room however was freezing (even with their central heating), the lighting was almost non existent and they didn’t have a restaurant in the hotel (which I guess didn’t matter because all restaurants ended up having to close anyway due to coronavirus, but we couldn’t even order a meal to the room). The gym facilities were a joke it was literally a small room with a treadmill and bike, and the TV wasn’t working. Not a great stay at all to be honest. Enjoyed more at our other location
Location location location! The spa room was fabulous - we celebrated our anniversary and stayed for one week in this lovely hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful, always smiling and very friendly. They gave us a few good tips. We looked forward to returning to the jacuzzi and sauna in our room every evening. Can't wait to visit again.
