Stayed here for a night for a weekend getaway by myself. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The food in the lobby restaurant was very good. The breakfast buffet had a large number of options. The pea soup from the lobby bar at dinner was amazing!! This hotel is super close to the main train station, therefore so easy to get to and from the airport or anywhere else really. It’s so easy to walk around the old city from here with all that has to offer during the day and night. I stayed here before Covid lockdown stuff began, so I can’t speak to that.

We spent 6 days at the Renaissance Amsterdam in Aug 2020. The room was lovely with a view of the city rooves, although we were upgraded through Marriott Membership. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. The price was reasonable. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was the best it could be for exploring. You are only moments from a canal, a few minutes walk from the trams, canal boat tours and shopping district, a 25 minute walk to the art museums. Central Station was close enough to wheel our bags to the hotel and perfect for taking day trips to other towns (try Haarlem or Leiden). The station also had a food concourse with river views and a free ferry to the other side. We cannot tell you about the nightlife (too old for that), but on the doorstep are a range of good quality restaurants and the Koepel cafe was a great place to start the day with coffee. We can't wait to go again.

We have just returned from a long weekend at this gorgeous hotel. The staff were amazing and so accommodating with flexible check-in/out times. Room was so comfy and we'll catered for. Breakfast under new Covid rules worked so well and finally location is perfect in the centre and close to the main station and all attractions. We Will Be Back. Thank you

As an elite member, we were supposed to get a room upgrade but were given a standard room, they must have lots of empty rooms due to COVID but they did not give me an upgrade, we are supposed to get 1000 welcome points which I did not receive, in fact, I received no Bonvoy points for the stay. The worst part was the lounge was closed so we were told to go to the bar instead, when we went we were standing there for around 5 minutes right in front of the bartender but he was playing on this phone and was so busy he did not notice us, eventually, we made a noise and he looked up from his phone. He said we could only have one free drink and a snack, he brought a very small snack portion that only had 3 rice balls and 3 spring rolls this was to share between 4 people, there were 4 of us all with lounge access. The following day we went again and had a different bartender, this one somehow found out our room numbers and charged us for the "free drinks and snacks" we only found this out when I went to check out, I find it very dishonest to use my room number and charge items to my room without telling me. I can't believe the Marriott would be so stingy, with COVID you would think they would want to encourage people to stay not try and get them to stay at another hotel chain.

Very clean hotel with loads of nice people in there. we were so in shock of how brilliant the rooms where and its very close to the center and the shops and different restaurants. One of the people recommended us to eat at Day’s Stonegrill 1870 which was nearby the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you and will recommend anyone this great hotel!
