Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

once you walk out the station, go to your right (toward the bicycle parking garage). take that road over the canal in front of you. you will pass a ticket shack on your left once over the canal....keep going straight... you'll cross a street and through a some bus lanes.. just keep going straight... once you finally cross that busy street, continue straight (the station will be behind you). about a block in, the road will split....keep to your left...the hotel is on the left very soon after that split..more modern than the other buildings..(with some flags off the side of the building) . should take you no longer than 10 mins

Hello: I'm afraid I will not be any help with debit as we never use one. However I recommend calling the hotel as they are very helpful and will be able to answer your question. In terms of the budget for drinking I would have to say that it depends on what do you drink and how many. I would assume an average drink would be around €10. However hotel offers happy wine hour from 5 to 6 every day so if you like wine and you are not picky, then that would help.
By the way I suggest that you check their calendar for national holidays. We got lucky with Kings Day but I have been at other countries where their national holiday meant that everything was closed.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
