This hotel is in an ideal location, easy access to food, museums, shopping, entertainment, transportation and is well established, with the beautiful Cafe American attached. Well appointed rooms. Wonderful staff.
We just came back from the Hard Rock in Amsterdam and had a fantastic time there. The hotel is in a great location. Walked to the flower market, museum district, Anne Frank house there were so many things to do in the area. There is also a ton of parks around and many restaurants. Staff at the hotel was very helpful.
Had a one day night stay but for the time we were there it was a great experience. The staff were super helpful and when I needed anything they were there to help right away. The rooms were clean and very nice and well organized with every amenity one could need on such a short stay!
The hotel is located in the center of Amsterdam easy to all attractions. Room was clean, and comfortable. the staff especially David the concierge was extremely helpful. He went out of his way to make all reservation for us, David gave us directions to various attractions and made our time at the Hotel pleasant. the other staff members also were very accommodating, get us coffee after hours and breakfast before hours. Can't wait to return to this hotel
Loved this hotel, some great memorabilia around the place and a bit quirky as you would expect from Hard Rock, fantastic buffet breakfasts and a very good base to see the sights. Staff were all very friendly and i would certainly go back.
This hotel was decorated with so much fun and attention to detail referencing rock and roll. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it is in a perfect location near the Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark, and other important places to see. They served a wonderful variety of tasty breakfast foods in the beautiful historic bar room. Loved, loved, loved this hotel.
Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable with no noise from any other guests.Perfectly located for sightseeing around Amsterdam. I will definitely be returning to the Hard Rock on my next trip to Amsterdam.
Hard rock hotel Americain is an excellent place to base yourself for some time in Amsterdam. The location is great very central, close to vondel park and a short walk to the bustle of the city centre. Very comfortable and clean hotel. Really cool to stay at a hard rock hotel but it’s really nice that this is an authentic Amsterdam building which is now hard rock
I am a repeat guest to this hotel. We love the area. The staff is friendly efficient and always there to assist. We LOVED the renovation of the rooms, very sleek and modern. Very comfortable bed. Its a modern hotel in a nostalgic building, loved that! We will be back with another group in December
I invested a considerable additional amount of our vacation budget on our 5 night stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam. The idea being that this particular stay would be a cool "final highlight" of our European trip, i.e. lodging-wise. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. In all fairness though, there are some good points about this hotel, so to be "balanced" I will list the good things first: 1. Location is great - close to good restaurants, close to attractions, etc. 2. The food & bar establishments on prem at the hotel are great. Very good food & drink, very good service & at a very reasonable price. This was a pleasant surprise. But the negatives of our stay & why we were disappointed: Being our first time in Amsterdam & at this hotel I requested a canal view when I made my reservation, 2 months before our stay began. We also made this request again upon our check-in. Our request was not accommodated. But even more importantly we then asked the Front Desk that if a canal view room become available on one of the days after our check-in date, we would like to move to it. The Front Desk said they would look into this & let us know. They never did. Now granted, I can say the day we checked-in, Saturday was busy, so I can maybe understand not fulfilling our request that day. But Sunday less busy & Monday thru Wednesday even more empty -- half-full at the most for those 3 days. Regardless, never any follow-up from the Front Desk on our request to get us to a canal view. I really have a hard time understanding this lack of follow-up from the Front Desk because don't many first time tourist like us come to Amsterdam to experience the beautiful scenery of the canals? Other negatives: Housekeeping didn't empty the old items in the fridge prior to our arrival. Housekeeping didn't replenish our coffee overnight one night so we had to request it from the Front Desk. Housekeeping threw away my wife's new "feminine items" that were in a plastic bag in the bathroom but didn't take out the rest of the trash actually in the garbage bin in the bedroom. Very uneven service from Housekeeping. Also, other reviewers point out the noise outside this hotel, keeping guests awake at night, & this is absolutely true. This happened to us as well & we were on the 5th floor. All of this underlines the fact that this hotel charges too much for a nightly stay for what you get. What you get is only very average service & mediocre accommodations. Thanks for listening!…
