We stayed three nights in the Die Port van Cleve. All the staff we encountered were exemplary and spoke excellent English. There was one doorman who appeared to me to be uncertain that we should be entering the hotel but didn't actually challenge us.

Just back from our second visit for my wife and I here and it was excellent.
Reasonably priced by Amsterdam standards the hotel has a good restaurant and a period style bar with an amazing tiled frieze.
