Stayed there for a long weekend with my husband.
We had a superior room on the 4th floor, which was way larger than I expected. It had a small attic-type window, but it was not a problem. What was important - it was very quiet...More
The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location is awesome (citycenter), a couple of tram lines right infront of the door,we had a room to a courtyard so no noise from outside. Also a mention for the fresh juice shop right infront it....More
Location was excellent - could not have asked for more. Room wasn't great, far too small. Cleaner managed to leave soaking wet towels on our floor and dirty cleaning rags - obviously not on purpose but it showed a lack of attention to detail.
With the exception of the following incident, our stay was quite good. Paid a bit extra and got a nice upgrade to the 6th floor with incredible views over Amsterdam. Great pea soup from room service at midnight after traveling all day to get there....More
This hotel is perfectly situated in Amsterdam to keep you in the centre. Requested an upgrade on arrival and was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded me to a superior room. Yes it can be noisy outside but that is due to being in the centre...More
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

to get to the hotel by publick transport is the cheapest way and really easy one. Tram #1, #2, #5, #13, #17 will bring you direct in front of the main entrance of the hotel, where we are going to wait for you=) It takes about 10 minutes walking along the street named Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal to reach Die Port van Cleve, where we are still going to wait for you=)
