Me and my friend stayed here in February. The location is AWESOME!! You can walk to the Ann Frank House, the red light district and it is just a short tram ride to the Van Gogh and Rijks Museums. The room was a bit small and no view but it was comfortable and quiet. The staff was always very helpful...

I was traveling for work for a week to Amsterdam. The room that was given to me was extremely dark and had 3 feet beds and blankets that were really uncomfortable. I have never seen such an uncomfortable bed. After a couple of days, I was upgraded to a larger room (I was paying over 225 EUR per night). The...

Clean, smart 4-star hotel with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. % minutes walk from Dam Square and 10-15 minutes walk from the central train and bust station. Cosy bar with an interesting selection of beers.

Lovely, lovely hotel. Stayed here the week of Valentine's Day, check in was so easy and they even gave us some cute little Dutch Love Hearts sweets when we arrived; staff also all speak at least one other language from their native tongue, which was lovely. With the help of the hotel my boyfriend was able to arrange a bottle...

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Hotel Die Port van Cleve is a famous Dutch hotel located directly behind the Royal Palace & facing Dam Square.
