The main attraction of the Hotel Schiller is its central location in Rembrandtsplein, 50m from a tram stop and within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. The hotel is rather old fashioned and in need of some refurbishment. Many paintings and prints by the founder, Fritz Schiller, adorn both the public areas and bedrooms. The front of the hotel,...

We were given a "junior suite" but coould not work out why it was a suite apart from the balcony looking out over Rembrantsplein. This made the room, the view out of the window was the statue of Remvrant - in profile and all of the lights in the trees. The cost for this is a great deal of noise...

The best thing to say about this hotel is its location, directly adjacent to the Rembrandt square, and thus conveniently placed for participation for the annual IDFA festival, and close to the nice shopping areas close by, such as the Kalverstraat street and the 9th street district. However, the noise outside into the wee hours due to the heavy partying...

I travel a lot and grow up in a mega city so I am very much used to noises and I am not a light sleeper to begin with, but this one has reached a new high noise level. I am typing this review around 2:30 am in my hotel room because the street noise is just simply unbearable. I...

We stayed her for two nights back in early Sept. There was a heat wave in Europe that week and it was very hot- for many days over 90 degrees. When we arrived we were a little surprised there was no A/C, but we hoped it wouldn't be an huge issue as long as we had the windows open. We...

ok - Free High Speed internet - Not True - The free wifi is practically unusable and you have to pay around 9 Euros for the decent wifi. Car Parking - Advertised as included on Trivago - but ended up costing us 35 Euros PER DAY as they do not in fact have a car park. The rooms are very...

Hotel is on Rembrandtplein, one of the centers of Amsterdam nightlife. My stay was a very cold week in the fall. So closing the windows at night was not a problem. So all-night noise was not a problem . On a hot summer night (the rooms don't have a/c) the noise would have been an issue. Not only the drunks...

A charming hotel with plenty of character. The location is very central which is ideal for sightseeing, but can be a bit noisy at night. The food in the hotel was excellent. We had only booked bed and breakfast, but we enjoyed it so much that we had lunch there one day and dinner the following evening.

This hotel was chosen based on price and location. Amsterdam can be really be a busy city during holidays or trade fair seasons. Rembrandtplein-located, near all of the main attractions and within walking distance for all of them. There are two tram lines from the Central Station to the door of the hotel. The building is quite old and one...

We spent only one night here due to a mix up at our other hotel and ended up wishing we'd spent all our nights here. It is, I consider, simply the best location in Amsterdam. Forget staying near Dam Square, this is the place to be with the lovely Rembrandtplein outside in which to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, and...
