As previous reviews have stated the location is central on a charming canal but further to walk from rail station than told by reception staff. Town houses are tall and narrow so bedrooms are small by European and American standards yet beautifully furnished in lush colours and furniture. Exceptionally clean rooms. Plenty of lounge space with free drinks and candy...

Our stay at the Estherea Hotel was out of this world. The room was luxurious and the hotel staff were polite and helpful. We intend to return sometime in the future. The hotel was perfectly situated for easy access to Dam Square and visitor attractions. We enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam thanks to our comfortable hotel.

I stayed at the Hotel Estherea for two nights while in Amsterdam for meetings. It is a great location with many of Amsterdam's attractions within reasonable walking distance (though a bit further to walk to the central station than I had anticipated). The foyer has a look of rococo splendour about it and this is reproduced to some extent in...

We spent a few days as a family around new years eve and we had a great time. Location is really great by being in the middle of all the attractions. Rooms are small but so cleverly organised that it seems just the right size. Decor is very thought of and some could say too much. Breakfast is great. Service...

Visited amsterdam last weekend and stayed in the Estherea. Beautiful hotel, good location, great staff. Just around the corner from Spui's restaurants and coffee shops and close to the flower market and Dam Rak.

They had a promo whereby my room was upgraded for free to deluxe. When I checked into the hotel, the room they provided was large size, but facing the street. So you can hear the occasional car/scooter passing down below on the street as the windows are not fully sound proofed. So I asked for a quieter room and they...

What an amazing hotel! Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The whole hotel is very unique and boutique like. The lobby area is fantastic with the fish tank full of tropical fish and the free coffee/hot chocolate you can use whenever you like. The hotel is situated on the singel canal...

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
