....with this charming hotel! It probably doesn't need another positive review, but I have to echo what a wonderful, quirky, gorgeous little hotel this is. The decor on it's own is worth a visit, but it's the little things that count. From the personalised scent vials and robes / slippers / l'occitaine products in your room, to the helpful and welcoming staff, to aa lobby with coffee / tea / snacks and newspapers. Who does that? So much fun. Also note that I booked a smaller room to start, but then my first night had a group of loud girls in the room behind me. I asked to switch in the morning and they upgraded me to a large room for the next two nights, which was FABULOUS customer service. I could have been upset by lack of sleep, but instead left feeling they had gone above and beyond to rectify an issue. Thank you all, I'll be back!…
We initially booked another hotel in Amsterdam but due to the pandemic, that hotel was closed so we booked two rooms for a one night stay in hotel Estherea. They had great reviews and excellent location for exploring Amsterdam. Once we arrived in the hotel, we were welcomed and immediately given our room keys. The lobby is very cosy and boasts a little self service station with free coffee and water. They arranged two rooms close to each other, partly connected via a little patio. The rooms itself were very unique and cosy. The bathrooms had a large bathtub and double sink. We had a view on the patio but had issues with the AC which did not cool properly. The room temperature was very hot and even opening the window did not cool down the room. The hotel is centrally located, close to the metro and within the heart of the city. All sights and shopping streets can easily be done by foot.…
We booked only one night as a transfer sleepover but we definetely gonna come back! This place is so beautiful and the location is great! The staff is professional and kind, rooms are clean! Fantastic experience
Last night I got home from a wonderful 5 night stay at this hotel. My Mum and I travelled together and we were amazed how elaborate and stunning our room was - it had the wow factor! The bathroom had double sinks, a large bath and my favourite luxury L'occitane toiletries, even the toilet rolls were wrapped in beautiful pink paper with flamingos and the hotel's name on. During our stay we did lots of sightseeing, The Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank house, Artis Royal zoo, Madame Tussauds, Diamond Museum etc. and loved the location of the hotel. Most of the attractions were within walking distance, we only needed to use a tram twice. The hotel has an excellent team, all very nice people but three stood out and deserve an individual mention, the breakfast guy Alex and the reception girls Amal and Yusra. On our final day we even got to speak with the hotel's current owner, a very nice lady who explained the history of the hotel. My favourite thing about the hotel however was the two beautiful grey house cats. The female puss especially enjoyed being petted and combed. I was upset to leave the hotel and Amsterdam too, I didn't want to go home.…
I did a staycation at this hotel, and it far exceededy my expectations. The lobby has unlimited tea, coffee and infused waters, the restaurant is cozy, with excellent staff and tasty cocktails, and each room is unique and full of personality. The L'occitane bathroom products are some of the highest quality I've encountered in a hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room is spacious enough to entertain two friends with social distancing, and having an empty fridge came in very handy. The location on Singel means easy access from Central Station and throughout town. I left my bike parked and walked around more than I ever do on Amsterdam because of how convenient the hotel location is. I would highly recommend this hotel.
