We took a red eye and dropped off our luggage early that morning. After a few hours, our room was ready quite earlier than we expected and we were able to relax. Over our four night stay, we were greeted every time we entered and exited the hotel like we were family. We really looked forward to that. The staff is just incredible at making you feel special. We needed laundry done but waited until the end and they went out of their way to make sure we received our clean clothes well before check out. They also were more than happy to hold our luggage after check out but before we could embark our our river cruise. On top of all of that, the room was incredibly quiet. We never ever heard another guest at any time unless we passed in the hallway. Our room was also perfectly cleaned by the staff each day and everything was spotless. The location was the best and we will always stay at The Toren in Amsterdam!!!…
We had one last night and day in Amsterdam after a 3 week vacation in Europe. We could not have found a better cap to the trip than the Toren and specifically Marios at the bar. A friendly face and a great guide to maximize our final hours. Next time we are in town we will definitely be back!
Wonderful staff, excellent location, cozy boutique hotel. If I am ever in Amsterdam again I will definitely stay here. Very close to great restaurants and shops, but away from the large crowds on a nice quiet street.
Where to begin. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Toren. Our room was beautiful and quiet and we moved the sort of Baroque, over the top decor ! The garden area was an added bonus to relax. The bar/lounge was splendid and are drinks were always made to perfection no matter the bartender on duty that evening. The location was perfect, along a typical canal just a short walk to many cafés, restaurants, bars, and sites. The staff was always helpful and professionnal but remained very friendly and approachable. So happy we decided to stay here for our first time visiting the city. They really made our stay perfect !
I cannot say enough about the entire staff, facilities, food and quality experience my wife and I had at The Toren. Excellent breakfast and attention to detail. Given this hotel is right in the center of Amsterdam and walking distance to many attractions, shops and coffee shops:-} still very peaceful and quiet in the hotel. Thank you, Linda and entire staff. Five Star Stay!
The Toren is an amazing, charming, clean, perfect location small hotel in busy Amsterdam. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary there and it was perfect. The staff is extremely professional and accommodating Gorgeous interior, good food, wonderful recommendations. They have a secret garden and our doors opened into a beautiful private garden for the guests. Exquisite stay!
We just came back from our trip to Amsterdam and Paris. The Toren was by far the best hotel we stayed in on the whole trip. The location can't be beat, the service is impeccable, the food is delicious and the room was clean and spacious. The staff at the Toren couldn't do enough for you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again and again on a future trip to Amsterdam.
This was our 2nd time staying in the Toren&despite knowing the high standard to expect, once again the Toren surpassed all of our expectations. The staff - especially Evangelo, Joanna, Diego, Sandhia & Tony - were exceptional; knowledgeable, friendly&extremely helpful. From the moment we were greeted by Michel when we arrived, to our last day when we said goodbye to Gert & the gang, we were looked after so well. The hotel itself is a beautiful building with so much sophistication, timeless class & charm (think the Great Gatsby meets an opulent boudoir) and the location is unrivalled! Located in the wonderful Keizersgracht, in the heart of the city but a few minutes walk away from the more bustling areas, you have the luxury of a peaceful street with wonderful restaurants&bars a stone's throw away, with some of the more popular tourist activities only a max 10 minute stroll. If you are thinking of celebrating an anniversary or birthday with your partner in Amsterdam, I would strongly recommend their Executive & Junior Executive suites. These rooms are huge, with massive comfy beds, phenomenal 2-person shower-cum-steam rooms&fabulous Cleopatra jacuzzi bathtubs. The interior of these rooms are more subdued than the rich purples and blacks of the reception&bar area but still hold an air of sensuality. The hotel is certainly a couple’s retreat and there is a danger of falling in love with the Toren! In total we stayed for 11 nights and even then that didn't feel long enough.…
What a wonderful location for enjoying Amsterdam—maybe prettiest canal! Rooms are European— so not as large as US, but plenty of space for two of us. Closet— no drawers. Great shower with water warm as you like & huge tub if so inclined. We had small patio & could open windows, otherwise a little stuffy. Comfy beds & little fridge, large bottled waters daily. Loved hearing bells of church. Room at back very quiet. My only complaint was outlets. We had to charge phone by sink Tip: room 404 in back of second building great for 2 with patio & cafe table
Fantastic location, fantastic room, fantastic staff. Can’t beat the location, close to everything but not too close to the noisy city center. Walking distance to everything. We walked everywhere from De Pijp all the way to Amsterdam-Noord via the free ferry. Definitely check out the local eateries in the Jordaan. Highly recommend staying here.
