This is a charming renovated hotel in a good location for walking to museums and the canals. The staff is generally very helpful and the all day open bar and light evening appetizers was very nice. I took off 1 star because we arrived after a trans-Atlantic flight at 10:00 AM. We intended to drop our bags and explore if we were unable to check in early, which we have been able to do at other European or US hotels. We were surprised when the desk attendant said "Your room is ready and to check in early, it will cost $75 Euros." This is an uncommon practice as whenever a room has been ready, we have been allowed to check in. I hope they change the policy.

Positives : Good location and bed was comfortable Not so great : smell if sewage in room , mould on shower head , very poor state of decor and cleanliness . Would advise website photos misleading and not representative of rooms . Rooms so tiny and wardrobe hanging off of wall . We complained politely but was just met with no response .

Not very good. Got the suite on top floor. Have to climb steps after 4th floor. Hot as hell in room. Reception could be better. Street outside is very busy. No ice or water available. Didn't try restaurant.

As other reviews have stated, very good location with restaurants and shops close by. Not as touristy as other areas, but handy for the centre of Amsterdam. The room was a decent size but decor and furniture were pretty tired, some TLC required. Small details but, no bulb in one of the lights, and towels were pretty threadbare,If your room is adjacent to the stairs, it's a wooden staircase and you will hear plenty of people going up and down, the staff were very friendly and helpful,

Great location in Jordaan area. Only 10 mins walk to all the museums, palace etc. Had deluxe room on 3 floor with Juliet balcony overlooking the street. Bed was quite hard for my liking but room was fine. Hotel staff were so nice and helpful. Went on cruise to Norway and let us leave luggage with them on day we returned as had evening flight. Booked Taxis and Ann Frank house for us

My husband and I stayed at this bank converted into a hotel for 1 night before going on our river cruise. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view of the cute street! Many restaurants, cheese shops, bakeries, a park located a few blocks away. We would stay here again.

Spent two nights here and booked one of the penthouse rooms with the panoramic view of the city. Beautiful to wake up in. I also chose this hotel for its location as it’s a short walk from the station and central to cafes, restaurants, supermarket and museums. Didn’t get to use the open bath tub but a beautiful artistic feature to the room. Massive, comfy bed. Clean, modern, bathroom facilities. Super cosy and comfortable. Only downer for me was there was not a huge variety for breakfast.

Very conveniently located within 10 minutes walk of Amsterdam Central Station, which was the main reason we chose it. The hotel is located on a busy street in a former bank building. Our room was very large, essentially a bed sitting room, quiet (important in Amsterdam) and well appointed with a comfortable bed, decent lighting and a refrigerator. The hotel serves breakfast in the restaurant next door. The prices are reasonable for overpriced Amsterdam. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in nearby walking distance.
