My girlfriend and I had a lovely time staying at Hotel JL No76. The staff on reception were so welcoming, and very accepting of us as a same sex couple. The bed was super comfy and massive. The valentine's day sweets were a nice touch. The only downside was that our room was on the lowest level and was opposite...

We loved our stay, excellent bed, lovely rooms. Charming decor all over, quirky and fun. Lovely staff. Perfect location, quiet and convenient. The only thing missing are shower curtains. It's difficult to wash without having water all over. It made me feel bad! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Size of the room was a little bit disappointing but it worked for the few days of our stay. The Honesty Bar is something to talk about it: great experience. Your Staff, our new best friends. Thank you so much.

Had a nice weekend in the JL 76. Very helpful and polite staff, nice rooms and a good location for the museums. It is about a 20-30 minute walk to central Amsterdam. My only negative would be that the standard rooms are next to the elevator and can be a bit noisy. We always travel with ear plugs, so it...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
