Until recently, the Prince Henry Suites was known as (one of) the best B&B('s) of Amsterdam. And for very good reason: the perfect location close to the Vondelpark, the Concertgebouw, the museums, the spacious rooms with all these nice details (hidden coffee machines, flowers, the fireplace, the elegant design), but most of all the warm hospitality provided by hosts Joop... A short walk to the trams, bistros, shops in a beautiful Amsterdam area our stay could not have be been better. The suites are spacious with unique antiques...Petra and Joop are wonderful and attentive owners. I highly recommend Prince Henry, there is not one bad thing to say except I was thoroughly spoiled.

What a perfect place. The "Prince Henry" was and had everything we were looking for. A quiet and very safe location within walking distance from the museums and city center, huge clean rooms (ours had a separate kitchen and our friends stayed in a room with a large siting area and working fireplace), free Wifi and a delicious breakfast. Wonderful room, marvellous welcome, perfect location (beautiful and quite neighbourhood, still central) and very very kind and helpful householders; with small details, like sweets or fruit free for the guests; nice and rich breakfast in the room; free wifi. Just perfect

Petra and Joop are the most civilised people whose elegant house is a haven. The location right by Vondelpark is great - the museums are a short walk, the tram is nearby, a bakery and proper wine merchant round the corner and lots of real restaurants not full of tourists. The rooms and bathrooms have an attention to detail that... More

Just got back from a 3 week EURO biz trip and stayed for several days with Joop and Petra at their lovely B&B by the Vondelpark. It was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in some time. Wonderful being served breakfast by a world-class cook (Petra). They have a cold bar in the downstairs hallway filled with drinks... More

You arrive at a townhouse in the heart of an elegant residential neighborhood, just a stroll away from museum row and the center. The rooms are large, spacious and unique. The staff is friendly and always available. You almost feel as if you live there and you can truly experience Amsterdam in a different less touristic way, it's like home,... More

My husband and I had the wonderful good fortune to stay at the Prince Henry for five nights in September, and we just couldn't have loved it more. It's hard to know what to complement first! The five suites are in a large, beautiful home (in which the hosts, Joop and Petra, live on the third floor), on a lovely... More

You must stay at the Prince Henry if you want to feel at home in Amsterdam. My wife is the traveler in our family. I'm happy to stay home--don't like the flying, don't like the crowds, don't like sleeping on other people's beds. Still, I love discovering new things and being away with my wife. So I go. She makes... More

My husband and I stayed at the Prince Henry for 3 nights in the beginning of June. We absolutely loved it! The suite was very charming with a kitchen area, coffee maker and tea available. Snacks were provided every afternoon. Wine and water was available at a very reasonable price. It was very easy to get into the city center via... More
