I stayed here in April 2016 at the end of 3 weeks in France and Italy. Getting there from the train station is not too bad as you catch one tram. It is at least a few blocks to walk however, with lots of luggage you may need a drink after. I didn't find the front staff to be very... More

The hotel is located away from the hordes of travelers that descend upon Amsterdam. The museums and central Amsterdam are easy accessible via tram or bike. Biking is very enjoyable in such a bike friendly city (the hotel rents bicycles). The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a free breakfast. Rooms are small, much like most of Amsterdam... Three couples staying 4 nights in Amsterdsm before British Isles cruise with Celebrity. Lucky to find this very nice hotel near tram stop 12 & 14. The manager "Murat" made our stay enjoyable. The only reason I did not give 5 rating. Our maid who was new to the job was not good. However the rest of the staff did... More

Booked Hotel Larende from Expedia - and am never convinced of the ratings but this was great! The location is ideal. Right off of a bus stop -- and direct from the train station - I believe bus 13. Many buses direct from this stop take you to almost every spot you will want to go to. I had a... More

Small boutique hotel accessible by tram from Amsterdam Square which was great for a weekend away. Reception: Run by the manager who is also the owner, very friendly and helpful. Greeted us and took our luggage since we arrived early and no rooms were immediately available. Immediately the manager told us the free for guests WiFi password. Room: Fairly spacious... More

A bit outside of tourist area but still walkable plus a tram at the front door. Close to Food Hall plus many local places. Convenient to museums, Anne Frank house. Rooms not huge but all you need. Good breakfast; full bar; good dinner available most evenings at reasonable--ie, not hotel/like--prices. Best part is super-helpful staff.

Stayed here while on a business trip, friendly reception, newly renovated room to the courtyard, heard the neighbors in the evening, but night was calm. lots of eateries in the area mostly filled with locals. Very good location for when wanting to visit the city without staying in the melee. Only suggestion for improvement; adding a light by mirror in... More

We spent 4 nights at the Hotel Larende. The staff were extremely helpful, rooms were clean & adequate with a very large bed. Free water, tea & coffee complimented the hotel. As well as trams outside the hotel is only a 15/20 minute walk from Anne Frank's House and about 30 minutes to the town centre. Van Gogh & Rijksmuseum... More

The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Morat (hope I am spelling his name right?), the hotel owner was a very kind person. My single room was tiny, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast (included in the hotel price) was more than adequate and was fresh. Loved their cappuccinos! Centrally located and close to tram stop, trams to the... More
