The hotel was booked through the travel agent at my work, obviously the photos looked OK and I went on her advice but unfortunately didn't look at this site before traveling to see the poor reviews. How silly! The hotel is filthy, the room stinks, everything is stained, curtains, carpets, bedspreads. The bed sinks and I can feel the coils...

I can only relate to the room we had (#30). It had to be the most uncomfortable room my wife and I have ever experienced. It was the size of a closet and should not have been offered for 2 people. We actually paid a premium (relative to other hotels) since I wanted one near where we were dropping off...

We stayed here for 4 nights just as a long weekend away for a small break . We booked this on last minute and got a very good cheap deal. I think because we did it on this I think we got put in one of the cheaper rooms in the attic, luckily there was a lift and the room...

Just checked-in and already disappointed. The are surrounding the hotel is very nice with a park next to it. But the rooms.... No comment!!!! Paid 189 eur/night and am would have never expected a room in such a condition. Published some pictures for your reference. Moquette full of stain, pillow in terrible status (to hotel owner: better no pillow than...

August 2015 we booked the suite 133, the best room of the hôtel according receptionist. Staircase rather dangerous to reach first floor without any lift, a very dim light in the room, toilets so tiny that we can't move in it, bathroom with separate window no waterproof so that the floor becomes a swimming pool, towels changed only twice in...

We stayed two nights in the annexe across the street. The double room was small with a tiny single room attached and an enclosed balcony with a view of the garden and a miniscule bathroom the size of two British telephone boxes. The towels were old and stiff and one had a hole in it. The bottle of face soap...

Booked a room on very short notice at this hotel and arrived too early for checkin around 9am. The staff was very friendly and let me check in right away. The room itself including the bathroom was dated and on semi basement level. Outside the windows people (staff) were smoking. Suppose as it was raining and the area in front...

This hotel has gained in popularity since TFIOS made it famous, but it hasn't changed. The staff are still charming, friendly and will happily go out of their way to help you with anything from an iron, to a dinner reservation, to tour and museum tickets, even bicycle hire! Close to Vondelpark and with great transport links round the city,...

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was the Star Room in which John Green (author of The Fault in Our Stars) stayed when he was in Amsterdam. Very comfortable beds, absolutely stunning view out of our window. Really longed for a kettle in our room, that would have made it a 5 out of 5 rating for...
