Stay on a houseboat in AmsterdamAmsterdam has 100 kilometer of canals, 1500 bridges and more than 1000 houseboats. Come and stay on one when you visit!Experience Amsterdam from the water. Come and stay on the Bed Breakfast Boat. Your own floating hotel room, right in the middle of buzzing town. Enjoy the beauty of the water: the sun reflecting in it, boats passing by, ducks and swans wanting to get acquainted.Enjoy your crispy fresh breakfast in the morning. Jump on your bike and cycle to town, where the greatest museums, the historic canal area, parks and bars are waiting to give you a great time.Upon return your own water cabin is waiting to give you that relaxing feeling you deserve! Enjoy a cold beer or a glass of really good wine on your own private terrace, watch a movie, listen to some music or just enjoy the magnificent view! This is Amsterdam! The Bed Breakfast Boat consists of one room of about 29 square meters. It is part of the owners houseboat but has it’s own fully private outside entry and terrace. It has a a double king size bed, a kitchenette, a bathroom with rainshower, washbasin and toilet and a sitting area with fold out sofa. There's 5 large windows bringing in wonderful light and offering you a spectacular view on the water. The Bed Breakfast Boat is mostly suited for one or two persons. However, the foldout sofa and the availability of a baby bed and stool makes it perfectly possible to bring your child or children.
We were lucky enough to stay here during a recent trip to Amsterdam. The boat is a little out of town in the East of the city, but no more than a 30-40 mins walk to the Centraal Station (same to Anne Frank Haus and Van Gogh Museum) and there is a tram stop right nearby for days we felt lazier. The windmill nearby was a great marker point the first few times so we knew we were nearly home! The flat had everything you could possibly need; was very clean and lovely and warm. Rene was a really friendly host and the breakfast he left every morning was fabulous. More than enough for breakfast and lunch - in fact we felt bad not having managed to eat and drink everything he provided. One of the highlights was sitting out on the edge of the boat feeding the ducks some crumbs every day. I would highly recommend and book again if we return to Amsterdam in the future.…

As everyone has said, great breakfast. We typically used the breakfast leftovers as a packed lunch to take with us. Used the bikes René had at a very reasonable rental rate of 5 euro/day/bike. Note they have pedal brakes, so take a run down the street to get used to them. Really warm in the boat. Has underfloor heating and works great. Comfortable bed and great shower with good water pressure. Good selection of books and DVDs if you want a quiet night in (which we always did after being out on bikes and walking all day). René is a great host and isn't intrusive but also gives you all the info you need. We will return to this spot and will recommend to others.

We were going to Amsterdam for a few days and I searched for accommodation. One of the searches threw up the Bed Breakfast Boat, sounded like fun so I contacted the owner (Rene) and it turned out the boat was free when we wanted it. Rene is the perfect host - fridge etc. was well stocked with all the essentials with fresh fruit, croissants, bread etc. being delivered for breakfast each day. We had to ask him to stop on our last day as we couldn't keep up! The living & bed space is very spacious and everything was immaculately clean and tidy. On our arrival Rene took the time to point out all the features and give us tips on where to eat & shop. The boat has books, TV, DVD, Netflix etc. so no shortage of things to do if you are having a quiet night in! The boat is a short (15 mins) tram ride from Centraal station but you could probably walk it in 25 minutes - it's on the same road as the station to the east. Boat was priced reasonably against staying in a city centre hotel! Bottom line is this is a fantastic way to stay in Amsterdam and we will definitely be staying with Rene on our next trip.…

It was always our dream to spend some days in a boathouse in Amsterdam and finally our dream come true.It is a lovely place with all the comforts you need and when you look out of the windows you can see the swan just outside searching for food and if you want you can feed him just from the window.Very clean in a quite area not far from centre and easy accessibly by tram.Within walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, bars, and beautiful Oosterpark Amsterdam.Every morning Rene use to leave us the breakfast in a lovely chest just outside the door with meat and cheese, bread, fruit and beverages throughout our stay.We had a coffee machine to prepare coffee when ever we liked. Rene was very helpful with suggestions of what to see, etc. And since we had to leave on an early morning he offered to give us a lift to the train station. He is very gentle and a good man. WE will surely stay again if we go back to Amsterdam…

Great location with all the comforts of home. Within walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, bars, and beautiful Oosterpark Amsterdam. Rene provided us with an excellent breakfast each morning, and plenty of meat and cheese, bread, fruit and beverages throughout our stay. I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable time than I had at your place. The decorations were marvelous, the breakfast are superb, the scenery was beautiful. Location is very ideal as we can access to any of the tram/bus station easily. P/S: Rene is a fantastic host and always willing to help.
