I traveled with my family and friends, we got a family room for 3 ppl, where they had converted the sofa into a bed. Room was spacious with a standing balcony and a cute canal view. The hotel is very contemporary and the best part is it’s central location. Well connected with public transport, very near the Dam square. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Absolutely LOVE this hotel. The hole staff went out of their way to make this a special stay for us. The roomservice: breakfast and dinner was delicious and with a lot of attention to detail. The view from the room at Amsterdam Central Station is lovely. Perfect location to explore the city with lots of restaurants, cafe's and places to see nearby. We were in the Junior Suite, Room 401, which is amazing. Very spacious, playful with the split levels and beautiful wooden beams. All the facilities you want, including two big screen tv's, coffee/tea and a beautiful bathroom with a rain-shower. The bed was kingsize and with a very comfortable firm mattress and two pillows to choose from. The hotel has character and a luxury decor. Enough room to keep distance from other guests and staff, if you desire. Exciting that the restaurants and bars are opening again tomorrow, so we can have breakfast/dinner at the Barbizon's Restaurant. We stayed at the beginning of June'21. 100% recommend…

Very good location near the train station. Expensive hotel - for my opinion too expensive. Friendly staff nice room good breakfast nice gym . Old elevators . I think next time I will take cheaper hotel with the San facilities. The hotel is modern . The room get a lot of noise from the outside . The shower standard
My partner and I stayed at the Barbizon Palace for two nights before taking a River Cruise. From the moment we entered the hotel, we knew we were in for a great experience. The front desk staff greeted us warmly and heck-in was fast. I requested a change to a King Bed and my request was granted quickly. The clerk gave us a room not facing the busy street which was greatly appreciated. The morning breakfast buffet had a variety of items all freshly prepared. The bathroom and shower were very spacious. I liked that there was water and candy readily available in the lobby. I would not hesitate to book this hotel on a future visit to Amsterdam.
The hotel is very convenient for the train station. It is also only about 10 minutes walk to the river cruise terminal. All of the sights of Amsterdam are within easy walking distance. The foyer is very impressive and the staff are, without exception, professional and friendly. We had a superior room with a view of the canal and train station, floor 1. The room was very quiet and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The aircon was efficient. However, we had a few issues. Firstly, the safe was locked shut. Then the bedside lights didn't work and these weren't fixed during our stay. The hairdryer didn't work but reception sent up a replacement. The 'view' was of the roof over the entrance and it was covered with cigarette ends (thrown out of higher windows?). A spotlight outside our window uplighted the building and it wasn't possible to block out this light with the curtains. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. Maybe maintenance needs to be more assiduous. I would also ask for a higher floor. …
Our family of ten took five rooms here for a single night. Check in and service were very good. They stored our bags so that we could tour the second day. Nice lobby hour to relax. The location cannot be beaten.
Great hotel, opposite Amsterdam Central Station. Clean rooms, great air-con and comfy, but firm bed. Plenty of toiletries and power sockets Didn't try the food, as we ate out every night and as the hotel is in a central location, there were lots of choices. I would stay here again
We enjoyed our stay here. Stan and the rest of the hotel and bar staff are excellent! The breakfast buffet is truly exceptional - everything is fresh and delicious and there is an immense variety of items to choose from. The breakfast is a great value.
Expensive city centre hotel which was nice but not wow. Breakfast not even included for per night rate - which I thought was outrageous! Also it was pretty noisy - we were given a 4th floor room, but the noise was unavoidable from the bars downstairs. The room cleanliness was ok - altho they don’t dust the beams!!! What made this hotel good was the concierge - Daniel was very friendly and gave us two fantastic recommendations (canal cruise and Thai restaurant). The hotel has a fantastic central location - but be warned about the noise…and it was very expensive for what it was.
