5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This is recently remodeled hotel that was recommended by a business colleague. The beds were very comfortable and rooms very nice. Recently renovated and all things looked new. Morning breakfast buffet or order off menu. Nice lounge for cocktails and quiet enough to visit about business. All service was very good.

This was my second stay at the Pulitzer and it was quite pleasant. The hotel is a mixture of old houses that have been combined together making it a bit unique. This time my room was in an attic and for a 5 star hotel was quite small. Since I was on my own this wasn't too much of an... More

Very stylish hotel with friendly staff in the centre of Amsterdam (5 minute walk from Dam Square). I shared a twin room which was really nice; large comfy beds with big pillows, walk in shower with a decent hair dryer and freshly roasted coffee. My only complaint is the lighting which was a bit dim but the low-lit feeling is... More

Faultless service and facilities in superb location. Travelled with five friends to celebrate 50th birthday and staff looked after us from start to finish. Rooms very comfortable and quiet. Restaurant was excellent and the bar has a lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

I would echo all the other positive comments posted here, but also add a word of caution about the cosy rooms (mine was #390). They are very tiny, and because of the gables, not all of the space is usable. The windows are only two tiny panes of about 12X12 inches so there is very little natural light; and you... More

Stayed one night only in this hotel - very good location close to the city centre, nice large room with river view. Good bar and very helpful staff. A little pricey for what you get but overall a great stay. Room was very comfortable and well maintained, overall a nice hotel.

Hotel have a good location and nice and romantic view to the channel in a part of rooms. The hotel staff was really ready to help with most of our wishes and we say many thanks to them. I've had the pleasure to stay in the refurbished Pulitzer. A new era for the hotel. We had a nice room though some troubles with the heater and temperature. Nevertheless a great room and very cosy. The new restaurant is light, beautiful decorated and a good menu as well. Try de Sole or the vegetarian starter. We met enthusiastic people... More

Having stayed here on 2 occasions before, Pulitzer was an obvious first choice for a short break in Amsterdam. However the changes from previous experience were disappointing. I really want to like this hotel because the location is great and the staff at reception are very friendly. Yet I still struggle to do so.
