We had an amazing honeymoon at the Wyndham Apollo. Everything was excellent from start to finish. Staff were all very friendly, room was amazing (we had an upgrade to executive room courtesy of the hotel!) , the food at the restaurant was excellent and for breakfast we had an extensive choice, from fresh fruit, cold meats/cheeses, cooked breakfast, cereals and...

While the hotel is located away from central Amsterdam the surrounding area offers tree lined streets and the hotel provides pleasant views of adjoining canals - especially from the bar area. It is a comfortable 15 minute walk to the main museum area; 40 minutes to Anne Franks house, but taxis always available and not expensive. As mentioned by many...

My room had a wonderful view, but unfortunately it was right above the bar area and at the top of the stairs. So I had noise from the stairs and the bar. While I was happy to have a room even though I had an early check-in, my colleague was told there were none available for him until he escalated...

Maetein Beersman(Manager on Duty) and Romee(Registration clerk) provided outstanding service to help me with accessing, downloading, printing, marking documents from the US, and preparing for a visit to the American consulate to have my documents notarized. This service was above and beyond the call of duty. I could not have been more pleased with their help and assistance.

This hotel is a good quality, chic but not quite boutique hotel located within a 5-10 minute walk of Rai Exhibition Center and 15 minute walk to the nearest museum, located in a pleasant residential area of the city, making it the perfect place to stop whether visiting for an exhibition or sight seeing, for business or for pleasure. The...

It's a decent hotel with all the required facilities for a short visit. Very good location - room overlooking canal has great view and they have an amazing Restruant to enjoy your dinner. Breakfast needs to improve a little to add more variety and they need to bring down the parking charges as they seem to be too huge compared...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Apollo Hotel Amsterdam is both classy and modern. Our hotel boasts a central location, in the beautiful Oud-Zuid region of Amsterdam. Stay the night or meet at a typical Dutch location, where five of Amsterdam's canals converge. Are you planning to attend a conference at the World Trade Centre Amsterdam or at the RAI? These can both easily be reached, as they are at a distance of just 1,000 metres from the hotel. During a weekend stay in the beautiful Oud-Zuid region, you will be staying at a walking distance from Amsterdam hot spots, such as De Pijp, the Albert Cuypmarkt, or you can relax in the Beatrixpark. ... more   less
