Let's start with the positives. This small hotel is well situated for visiting the museums and is close to a boat station for hop on hop off journeys round the canal system. Some very good restaurants not too far away and excellent transport system - trams, buses and taxis all within easy access. The staff were very friendly and helpful...

Just round the corner from Leidseplein on the canal with lovely views. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area and the main tram line to get into the busier centre but the walk there is easy and picturesque. Close to the museums and shops and the lovely Vondlepark. The stairs are steep, steep, steep as you'd expect in Amsterdam,...

Gorgeous little hotel, fantastic location. Some staff super helpful, one not so. Canal view balcony room was huge and gorgeous, truly, with a lovely modern shower room. Really comfy beds. Tea and coffee facilities would have been nice. Take your own hairdryer, not one in the room. Awful, very expensive breakfast I'm afraid. Eat elsewhere. If you're allergic to cats,...

We have just returned from a girly trip to Amsterdam, we booked this hotel partly because of the price and partly because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor! My group had a huge 3 person room which was very clean and modern. The shower was powerful and warm and the two main beds were comfortable! the third 'campbed' however was...

Typically Dutch cosy Canal-side hotel. Although I booked a room at the back I was upgraded to a beautiful one to the front overlooking the canal. Staff were warm, friendly and looked after my every need. I highly recommend this hotel for a visit to beautiful Amsterdam.

A lovely little family run hotel, ideally located for a short break with a couple of good value and atmospheric bars around the corner. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming. It is only let down by the size of some of the rooms. The hotel was clean with well presented rooms. It has good facilities and serves an...

Great location for exploring Amsterdam. My room was big, clean, well appointed and nicely decorated. The receptionist is a roadie, having worked with some of the biggest bands and performers in the world. She was very helpful and made my stay a wonderful experience. Oh, and breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice and tasty! Five stars to you Hotel Boutique...

Our top floor room was comfortable, quiet and clean. It was also a good size with a smart en-suite bathroom. What we enjoyed most about this hotel was the warm hospitality of the owner who went out of her way to make sure we were happy, even offering umbrellas for the rain and serving free coffee when we rose. This...

We booked a small canal view room and got given room 204 for 3 nights. The view of the canel was lovely, especially at night with all the street lights. The room itself was clean but it was small e.g. no wardrobe, iron, or kettle, and weirdly had wallpaper that was fuzzy/furry? This place lost a star due to the...
