This completely self-contained elegant and fully equipped light apartment with your front door opening to a beautiful central canal is one whole floor (with your own garden at the back of your bedroom) of a historical house built in 1685. Everything is just around the corner - Anne Franck house or cafes, musea or the tram to the station - from a more central and beautiful point in town you cannot discover Amsterdam. Tea and cafe free, use of laptop, maps, large flat screen TV, bikes in front of door, boat in the summer, you are welcome - with your children, or for your work, very suitable also for seniors - there is no stairs to schlepp your suitcase up! (and we can organize safe parking around the corner).

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Just came back from a long weekend in Amsterdam where we stayed at Anno 1685 - We were met by the cleaner who seemed in a hurry to get away and gave us a speedy introduction to the premises. We didn't get a chance to ask about the WIFI or Heating and had to contact the owner.

Pros: Great location, lovely small garden on the back, quiet clean! Cons: the apartment is really small and slightly bellow the street level, the owner lives on the top floor and we could hear her steps very clearly (even her cat steps), bed sheets got some suspicious stains,

Myself & my partner have just returned from a 4 night stay over New Years, in Anno 1685. This was not our first time to visit Amsterdam nor the first time using a holiday rental and I'm afraid Anno 1685 is not somewhere I could recommend to anybody. We were met not by the owner

Very overpriced for what it was. Great location but the interiors in need of updating. The presence of chipped crockery, old towels, a dirty kettle & small holes in the sheets were disappointing. Unfortunate musty smell throughout the house. Great location but overpriced

Our family of four stayed in this apartment for 6 nights in July. Having lived in Amsterdam for four years previously, we knew we wanted to stay in the center of the city when we visited (our first trip back!) as a family. This apartment is perfectly central, but set on a
