We had an amazing stay at The Fashion Hotel. The family rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable! The breakfast was fab! We needed a gluten free breakfast for my friends son and they catered so well for him! Definitely stay again
We've just completed 4 nights stay here. Overall a really great hotel - 15 mins in taxi from airport, 5 mins walk to tram in to centre (which takes 13-18 mins to get in depending on which you get. Its all very clear and easy to navigate and the hotel sell day passes for transport - ours cost 20 euros for 3 days, each), 10 mins walk to vondelpark and opposite rembrantpark. Staff very friendly and gave recommendations of what do see and do during stay. Only thing light on advice was things in hotel I.e. restaurant hours, WiFi details, breakfast addition etc. But all easy things to work out. Room was great - although see through door to shower which wouldn't be good if travelling with friend rather than partner. Toilet in separate room which is good, but no sink in there. My only 2 things which were a bit annoying... hotel towels are tiny, they need to get bigger ones! Barely wrap round you. And there are tea and coffee facilities in the room but no mugs. They have small paper coffee cups, but they're not big enough for tea. Otherwise, no complaints and we'd deffo come again. Well worth the cost difference to staying in the city centre (and you get the benefit of spa / pool).…
Stayed in the Fashion Hotel and it was amazing! Good service, very nice room, good food and the drinks in the Skyybar are excellent! Compliments to the team and I will definately come back in this nice hotel!
Myself and husband visited for a two night break and I have to say the room was lovely. The beds were made up, enough towels and the check in staff were amazing. I got blisters from the amount of walking I did, my husband went to reception and asked for a plaster and it was no trouble for the staff to provide him with one. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the fact the curtains were blackout. We had breakfast both mornings and there was so much on offer. The only downside was the toilet paper was quite hard but I'm a toilet paper snob 🤣. I would definitely book hotel again.
I chose this location due to its proximity to family. Overall it's a nice hotel but there were a couple of serious problems. When we checked in, we were given keys to someone else's room. We walked in to find someone else's things there. Thankfully the people themselves were not in. We went back to the front desk. They couldn't offer an explanation and scrambled for an entire hour to come up with a solution. We were given the same kind of room on a different floor. But this is a serious breach of trust. It should NEVER be possible to assign keys to an already occupied room.. someone could go through all your things and even steal something. Then, four days into the trip, we came back to the room to find that housecleaning had used the deadbolt to keep the door open while they cleaned the room and then forgot to close it. This left our room open for anyone to come in for several hours before we got back to the hotel in the afternoon. Thankfully nothing was stolen. No idea if anyone went in my room. Again this is a serious breach of trust. We immediately reported this to the front desk who took 45 minutes to research the issue only to come back and say they had no explanation and to let them know if anything was missing. Not a great response... Being given keys to an unoccupied room and having housecleaning close and lock your door is basic expectations for a 1 star hotel, let alone a 4 star hotel. As I read reviews on this site, I see several other mentions of both problems, which means they are doing this to other people and not learning from their mistakes. Less seriously, we chose this hotel because it is supposedly air conditioned. However our room was frequently hotter and more humid than the outside over the course of the week, no matter how low you turn the air conditioning. I thought ours was broken but when I spoke to front desk they told me that their air conditioning only works in cooler temperatures and that the 28-29 deg C temps outside were too high for their system, and that my room was working normally. Which is a very strange response, considering the entire point of air conditioning is that it works in warm temperatures. In any case, we simply had to open our windows and sleep above the covers. It's easy to see that most people in the hotel are doing the same. That's all fine and good but it's disingenuous to tout four star rating and claim all rooms are air conditioned when this is not effectively the case. People considering staying here should just treat it as if you have no air conditioning because that's going to be what it feels like. Other than this, the rooms themselves were nice and the hotel amenities seem good. If they fixed the air conditioning to actually function as people would expect, and bridge the serious security gaps with their check in and housecleaning, I'd be much more likely to recommend this hotel.…
This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel and I just love it, probably my favourite hotel I have stayed in around the world. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and are happy to assist with any questions about the city. The facilities are brilliant - it’s great having a pool in a city hotel and the SKYY bar is a great way to start your night. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The beds are super comfy too. For me this is the only place to stay in Amsterdam and I can’t wait to come back!
Great modern hotel with a big familyroom with all the nessasery facilities. Close to the tramstation and has a swimmingpool which the kids in the heatwave of July were happy about. Will be coming back when in Amsterdam.
Been visiting this hotel since I was introduced to it during the Amsterdam Fashion Week in 2013 or 2014 and I have been returning ever since. It’s one of my guilty pleasures whenever in Amsterdam, as the wellness facilities provide the necessary breather before grabbing an exotic cocktail from the hotel’s sky bar after which you’re ready to head into Amsterdam’s vibrant nightlife. The staff is also quite friendly and very accommodating. I’ve always had the experience of having well kept rooms and during my last visit I even found a little surprise welcome package. Thank you!
Everything was fine except the clearners. Our room's door was open in one day when we came back to the room; cleaners have not close it compeletely. Last day we have paid for late check ou till 3pm and still cleaner come in 1pm without any warning; it was not nice at all when you are in shower. We had also "in" plaque at the door. I think we will not come back.
We had a fabulous holiday in Amsterdam. The Hotel was brilliantly placed for tram trips into the centre. It was a clean and vibrant hotel with a great pool. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I cannot say a bad thing about this Hotel 😊
