I consider Hotel Allure in Amsterdam as just the match for another lovely hotel I had stayed in Berlin, Hotel Rewari. Located in a vintage Dutch building, the hotel's gentle beauty is captivating. You need not look anywhere else while in Amsterdam!

Stayed here for 1 night. It is about a 15 min walk into center. Our room was very small. 1 little wardrobe and a really small shower and toilet. We had a balcony but it was full of fag butts. We didnt have breakfast as saw a lovely cafe down the road. This place is ok for a 1 night... More

There is a Tramp stop near the hotel which is easily accessible. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel and the breakfast is very good. It is a kids friendly hotel with very helpful staff. I was amazed with the comfort level of the hotel and is a very budgeted hotel and would highly recommend it for anyone on... More

I booked a room here for a long weekend and it was just what we wanted. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and tidy. The location was ideal as the Metro is literally at the end of the street, central Amsterdam is only 3 stops away and runs every few minutes. There is also a... More

Located just two tram stops from Leidesplien and just a 2 minute walk from both a tram station and metro. Not too far from the station. I stayed in a double bedded room with a BALCONY which was super nice!! Sitting beside my bed with my boyfriend at night with the balcony doors open watching the bikes go by was... More

Good location, 2 minute walk to metro station. Airport shuttle picks you up outside hotel and takes you to Airport. Comfy bed. Friendly and helpful reception staff. I would use this hotel again if I come back to Amsterdam !

Just back from this hotel, stayed for 2 nights! Very friendly welcome, room was clean and bigger than I was expecting so that was a plus! Has a fan (can get quite stuffy with fan off), iron and board, safe, mini fridge which was great for keeping water cool! Shower was good, hot water all the time! Was a bit... More

Stayed here for a long weekend. Location is very good. We pretty much walked everywhere but Metro is very close as well if you wish to get places quicker. Hotel itslf is very cozy. You can rent a bike and they also have umbrellas if the weather is not great. Room was average size overlooking the backyard area (so we... More

This isn't the best hotel i've been in my life but i won't say it's rhe worst. Considering the price you have a little more than what you paid for. The hotel is located a bit far from highlight spot in Amsterdam (public transport is a must use) but near metro and tram station. The room is clean but small... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
