Great accommodation to explore Amsterdam - loved our stay here and will be returning when we come again. Clean and cheap for a budget get a way for a European trip. Breakfast included which was okay but for the money you pay its very good value.

Stayed for 3 nights, very clean, quiet and the staff we're very helpful. It is a 15 minute ferry ride from the Central train station,we were really impressed by the fact the ferry was free(something that would never exist in Britain). Tasty breakfast and the beer was reasonably priced 4euros a pint. We would definitely recommend using the Botel to our friends,it...

We stayed here mid April for my birthday. Floating Hotel basic but clean. Room quite small but not an issue for us as we barley stayed in.. Could do with a vending machine for snacks as no restaurant on site. Quite enjoyed the ferry ride. Only ten mins and they run quite often. However not after midnight. You can get...

The Botel was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, the location was easy to get to from central station with the free ferry across, which took 5-10 minutes. The décor is dated and basic but for, the cost it was absolutelty fine for what we wanted. The breakfast was a buffet with a good choice. The Indonesian restaurant opposite...

I recently stayed for a few days with a few friends. The hotel itself is okay, rooms are basic and the bathrooms are tiny but I didn't mind much. Couple off staff were rude and lazy apart from Lillie who worked her socks off and was absolutely lovely! I would stay here again as the ferry journey was fine but...

On check in we were greeted by a grumpy older lady with a bob style type hair, glasses and wearing all black. She was dealing with a guy in front who wanted to check out. Admittingly he was checking out late and had left his luggage in his room. She greeted this with a roll of the eyes and a...

The Botel is basic but clean and well serviced. There are no extras, soap etc. We had a room which was situated above the bar and the noise vibrates through the structure and it is a constant percussion noise till 1am. We could not sleep till the noise stopped. We asked at reception if we could be transferred to a...

Really enjoyed our stay at the Botel, a little different than your typical hotel. Yes, the room was basic but how much time do you really want to stay in it? You're in Amsterdam, get out and see the place! Breakfast was good and there's a free ferry to town that runs regularly and they put on a free shuttle...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
