2nd visit to Amsterdam. Stayed with my boyfriend and another couple for 3 nights and we loved it, close enough to the city to be there in no time but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet when needed. Yes the rooms are small and basic but have everything you need and are spotless. Cleaners do a great... More

The botel is very basic Shower and bathroom very small and cramped but ok for a short stay. Bedrooms again are very basic with no tea or coffee available. The beds are very hard and had no extra pillows available upon request. Breakfast was ok for continental but could have had a bit more of a range. Staff were very... More

We stayed for 4 nights August 4-8 and can say truly cannot find any faults . Housekeeping was great my little boy can feed seagulls and swans from out bedroom window which was experience by itself . Room was cleaned every day and breakfast was great . Staff friendly and helpful . Views spectacular day, morning and evening. There are... More

Great accommodation to explore Amsterdam - loved our stay here and will be returning when we come again. Clean and cheap for a budget get a way for a European trip. Breakfast included which was okay but for the money you pay its very good value.

Stayed for 3 nights, very clean, quiet and the staff we're very helpful. It is a 15 minute ferry ride from the Central train station,we were really impressed by the fact the ferry was free(something that would never exist in Britain). Tasty breakfast and the beer was reasonably priced 4euros a pint. We would definitely recommend using the Botel to our friends,it... More

We stayed here mid April for my birthday. Floating Hotel basic but clean. Room quite small but not an issue for us as we barley stayed in.. Could do with a vending machine for snacks as no restaurant on site. Quite enjoyed the ferry ride. Only ten mins and they run quite often. However not after midnight. You can get... More

The Botel was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, the location was easy to get to from central station with the free ferry across, which took 5-10 minutes. The décor is dated and basic but for, the cost it was absolutelty fine for what we wanted. The breakfast was a buffet with a good choice. The Indonesian restaurant opposite... More

I recently stayed for a few days with a few friends. The hotel itself is okay, rooms are basic and the bathrooms are tiny but I didn't mind much. Couple off staff were rude and lazy apart from Lillie who worked her socks off and was absolutely lovely! I would stay here again as the ferry journey was fine but... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
