A pretty decent hostel. The dorms and bathroom were pretty clean. The common area is a bit lacking however. They really need a bar in here to add to the atmosphere. Thankfully I had great dorm mates to party with. The front staff was good at times. One of the guys was able to direct me to an awesome craft... More

Everything was pretty great. The location was fab and access from the airport was super easy. The breakfast had plenty of choices. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The staff, however, were wonderful and very helpful. Would recommend to stay !!!!

A nice place to stay just near the museum quarter of the city, easy enough to reach on a tram or a decent walk across town. The rooms were small and they packed beds in (there were 8 in our room) which meant you had to get used to waking up staring at somebody. The breakfast was okay and cheaper... More

The hotel is on a quiet street right next to the museums. It's a nice walk to the downtown area. The room was nicely decorated. We had been traveling a while once we got to the hotel and the staff made us feel right at home. The staff was super nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Was recommended this hostel by a friend and really happy with my experience here, I can see that from reviews that not everyone had the same experience but everyone will experience things differently. Check in was easy and used the luggage storage so we could go off and enjoy lunch, great locations to the left is museums and the tram... More

Me and a couple friends booked to stay in this hostel as part of our interrailing trip. Although it was clean and in a good location we were disappointed with the small communal area and tiny dorms. Therefore I'd suggest anyone travelling to meet others and have a social trip to stay elsewhere - as our experience in Van Gogh... More

Nice hostel, towels included and beds made each day. Very clean and lovely bathroom. Good location, easy to get to main tourist attractions and close to tram stops. Main downside was that the actual room was very cramped. It was advertised as an 8 bed dorm room, which it wasn't big enough for anyway, and there was extra bed crammed... More

Location is perfect because it's in a rather quiet/artsy part of the city (near the museums) but a stone's throw away from the tram/bus stop. So, it allows you to engage in debauchery at the centre (because it's so easy to get there!) or you can be quiet and introspective and immerse yourself in art. The rooms are clean and... More

Stayed here with 4 friends for 4 nights firstly in a 6 bed female dorm then mixed room. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable with bed made daily with new towels. Bathrooms were clean and in the room so didn't have to walk down the corridor or anything. Showers were great but did leak in the the bathroom a lot.... More

We were a party of 10, ranging in age from 6 to 65, 5 kids 5 adults! We booked 5 rooms in the Hotel section. This is a small hotel with about 5 rooms on each floor (4 or 5 floors). We had air con, wifi, TV in fact everything we needed. Breakfast was THE BEST at 5Euros if booked... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
