This is a unique idea to "theme" apartments after great artists. We very much enjoyed the apartment, but we were not thrilled with it. Our "hostess" Christel was phenomenal. She was kind and courteous and professional. It was extraordinarily kind of the company to allow us to enter in the AM, well before our afternoon check in time. Back to the Vincent Van Gogh.....there was not a lot which would have indicated that this was his themed apartment. I expected more of his art. But we have art everywhere in our home. The kitchen area is well stocked with utensils, glassware, pans. There is also a nice "starter" set-up with coffee and tea and cookies. Much appreciated. The dishwasher, microwave/oven, and clothes washer were fully functioning and relatively new. The back garden is lovely, and in season is probably a gem. We were there in January. There are bird feeders, so we were treated to a morning bird display. Both TVs in the living room and bedroom had many channels and were easy to understand. The drawbacks are: The bathroom in Van Gogh is very small, and it would be almost impossible for 2 people to be in it at the same time. The bedroom appears to be an "afterthought" with the bed against one wall, so one sleeper has to crawl in and out from the bottom of the bed. In the kitchen area there is what appears to be an extension (at head level) of the heating/cooling system. It is metal and easy to bang against. Ouch. We enjoy the location in Amsterdam very much with many shops restaurants, cafes only steps away. There are not many upscale units available in this area, so this building is a find. If the company will allow us to return (after this review), we would absolutely rent one of the larger 2 bedroom units.

Everything, from the communication, welcome and service was nothing short of excellent. Christel is fantastic and just one of the best hosts I've ever come across, very responsive and caring. The apartment (I stayed in the Piet Mondriaan) is spacious and private and fully self-contained (so ideal when in need to quarantine...) with supermarkets and public transport very close. I am from Amsterdam myself and based my choice on the excellent location: it doesn't get more central yet this gorgeous part of the Keizersgracht is relatively quiet (especially at night).

This is a small apartment-style lodging in the heart of the ring area of Amsterdam. The place is compact and efficient. Even more wonderful it has a washer, although the dryer function takes forever to dry clothes. I felt very safe.

The location is superb, and the interior of the building is charming - it is a traditional Dutch building. This apartment is an ideal place for a long-term stay (we stayed for four weeks); the room is spacious with a dining table and a sofa; and it is equipped with kitchenette, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, bathtub with a plenty of hot water (a must for Japanese!). The staff members are very friendly and helpful; they come and fix issues immediately when we ask for help. We will certainly come back next time we stay for more than a couple of weeks.

My husband and I brought our 5 month old to Amsterdam from the US and our Dutch Masters apartment was the best decision I ever made. We commented that it was the most high quality short-term rental we can remember staying at. The team was so helpful in coordinating our arrival and getting a crib set up for us. The location was so awesome - we walked everywhere and never felt like it was far.

The bedding was incredibly comfortably and the rooms got quite dark which is helpful with a baby. I loved waking up to our gorgeous canal view and hope we can come back soon!

I was in Amsterdam to run the marathon. I stayed at the Dutch Masters for a week. They are full apartments with a kitchen and laundry facilities. The people running it were very accommodating as I arrived at 6 am and they let me into the apartment then. Each apartment has a different theme. Location was on the canals and easy to get to the museums. Lots of restaurants close by. Be aware, there is not a lift, so you could be walking up four flights of stairs. I choose the Jeroen Bosch room since it was ground floor and had private access to the garden. The big drawback to that was the bedroom was kind of under the stairs so you could hear people coming and going.

I'm so happy I found this place. I was searching for hotels and Air BnBs in the area for a special occasion and randomly came across the Dutch Masters. This place beats a hotel any day, hands down. We stayed in the Vermeer. It was only up one flight of stairs (which is nice if you know the horror of Dutch Stairs!). When you walk in, you have your own hallway and this is where the bathroom is located (with an amazing tub). I mention that only because in the pictures I couldn't figure out where it was. The living room is so comfortable with high ceilings and amazing windows opening over a canal. The central lighting is so comforting. This place also has an Air Conditioner as well as heat! We were there during a mildly warm day and the rest of the time it was cool weather, so we never ran the heat. There is a venting system also and that was all we needed (though we prefer to be cool). The kitchen has everything you need for your stay.

This also is the perfect location. There is a tram station at the end of the street, but we ended up walking almost everywhere due to the convenience. This is also off of a quiet street. We were spoiled once we went to other areas of the city and realized how noisy it can get. We used a car service set up by Christel for pickup and drop off at the airport. After a long day of traveling, it was worth it, and currently getting to Central Station is a bit of a problem due to construction. I hope we can come back and stay for longer, hopefully long term if we can figure out the move. The only thing that bothered me was that they came in while we were away to take the trash out(only once). This may just be an American peeve, as I need my private space to be completely private, but I see it as a nice additional service that others may enjoy. Christel is also amazing with communication and always around to answer a question. She even met us early on a Saturday for check-in, which is outside of their hours. (This is an apartment with the office across the street, do not expect a check-in or lobby like a hotel). As much as I want to tell everyone about this place, I also want it stay a secret so it will be available when we come back!

Me and my friend had an excellent stay At the Dutch Masters luxury apartments. We stayed in the Frans Hals apartment and it really couldn't be faulted. Photos and details are just as described on the website and Expedia. Complete with all amenities, a lovely welcome tray with treats and plenty of self catering equipment needed. The view is beautiful with the large windows bringing in lots of natural light. The staff are very helpful and easy to contact with the office being just a couple of minutes away. Will definitely return to enjoy its excellent choice of apartments in a perfect location near to everything and easy to get around with nearby tram stop and most sights being of walking distance.

We stayed at the Dutch Masters in July this year. We were met at the door by Christel who was very welcoming and explained how to pay city tax. The apartments are at a great location next to the Keizersgracht very close to the Vondelpark and the Museum Quarter. Although there are several restaurants almost next door, the apartments are on a very quiet street and we heard no noises during our stay.

We were in the Frans Hals apartment which was up almost 2 floors up, with no lifts available. We didn't mind that at all but may not be suitable for anyone. It is almost impossible for the owners in the old majestic building and this was not a problem for us. The apartment block has a nice ambience and our apartment overlooked a nice garden. The bedroom was a little tight but again, not a problem as the living area was quite spacious. There was a welcome tray with some goodies like jams and stroopwafels.

We are looking forward to returning back to Dutch Masters next year again and would highly recommend it too.
