This hotel looks so lovely and I was really eager to get there. However, I had to cancel my reservation (which is guaranteed for reimbursement during COVID-19) April last year because of the lockdown. Then the endless waiting started. I contacted IHG customer service about five times and nothing has been solved. And then I sent an email to the hotel directly, but nobody answered. It’s been almost a year now and I’m still waiting for my reimbursement! I am very upset and very disappointed. I’ve always appreciated IHG hotels and this has completely changed my view due to this poor customer service. I have been patient enough to wait till now and I understand it has been a tough year for the tourism industry, but it is no excuse to ignore customers.

Dear JingjingW15, First of all thank you for your patience with this matter. I am really sorry there has not been any communication in terms of your payment or cancellation. Please note that I will reach out to you personally and make sure we resolve this matter up to your satisfaction. I fully understand your disappointment and appreciate your comment. I am happy to read you were very eager to travel to QO, so perhaps we can find a solution together. Best Regards, Marjoleen Front of House Manager

Had a great 2-nights’ stay, in a modern, clean and spacious room with a beautiful view! A young and friendly staff, good service. A nice breakfast with a tasty, Fresh and healthy selection of different kinds of bread, fruits, yoghurt, etc. All served “Corona proof.” You won’t leave hungry! Diner was also very good, nice presentation of local veggies and good meat, all very very tasty! Another big advantage: Subway is within a five minute walk and brings you to the heart of Amsterdam in ten minutes.

We had a great stay as a couple at this hotel, the location is slightly further away from the center of the city but the metro is 2 minutes walking which makes it pretty easy to get around. Although we haven't tried food in the hotel the bar on top floor is really nice with good service and lovely drinks. Would definitely return again.

The QO Amsterdam is very modern and nicely decorated. The suite offers you everything you need for your overnight stay and stay. Unfortunately, there were some complications with the control of the room, i.e. with the iPad, where you can control light, TV, air conditioning, etc. The hotel is located approximately 10-15 minutes by subway from the city center.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights mid-March prior to the $#!t really hitting the fan with Covid-19. From the beautiful exterior and lobby area, high tech touches, easy access to subway and shops, excellent a la carte breakfast options (truly delicious), stylish rooms, subtle touches from the filter coffee to beautiful hairbrushes, etc etc. If you're driving there are other parking options around the area other than the underground parking (just look a bit...) and one small gripe was the fact that the hotel didn't release our 50euro p/person key deposit immediately, I had to contact them via Whatsapp a week later to get this released. The Whatsapp touch is nice however, they contacted us a day before our arrival to see if we needed anything prior to our arrival which was a lovely surprise. All in all, my feedback sandwich is highly positive and we would definitely stay at the QO when we are in Amsterdam again!
