I visited Amsterdam several times during these 2 years and hotel Cornelisz for me is the best in term of location, public transport access, nice surroundings. Eating place are not so much but there are some good restaurants nearby or go to other areas that can be reached by light train in only 5-10 minutes ride. Staff was so nice...

Cant stress enough the amazing location of this hotel, lose to the rijk museum, van gogh, the bulldog. Great house keeping, friendly staff, a nice foyer to smoke, drink, read, use the internet, for all guests tobuse. Breakfast for an extra 15 euro a day, perfect place for a kip and wash then enjoy what amsterdam has to offer.

This was our hotel for a three days trip to Amsterdam. We had it from an special online offer so it was really cheap for us. The hotel is easy to find and it is not too far away from public transportation. The staff in there was very helpful and they gave us good advise for the city side seeings....

This hotel is very conveniently located near the Museums, the canal and the park. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. We had a problem with the shower which was fixed immediately. There is a lift up to your room and the room was clean and pleasant. An outdoor smoking lounge is provided on the second floor. BUT..... the double...

This hotel is wonderfully-located. 2 mins to the Museum quarter and airport express bus stop and just over the road from the Vondelpark. Half an hour walk from Amsterdam Centraal Train Station. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. They let us store our bags in their luggage room for free which was v useful. The hotel is also...

The hotel is in a great location which helps inflate the price online, but it sooo not a value for money. For such a pricy a place you would expect some basic quality. Walls are too thin, door banging too loud. some staff are truly nice and some don't being in hotels. Rooms are not tiny, they are good size...

A small bedroom is TINY. No wardrobe, no space to even stand and get dressed in the room, never mind while sharing with another person. Bathroom is a wet room, floods every time the shower is on as the drainage didn't work. Only good thing was the location

Me and a friend went to amsterdam last week. Overall, the planning of the trip was really hard. Everything is really expensive especially the accommodation. We found hostels which costed more than 100€ per night. Moreover, when all our hopes were gone a really cool promo came up from this hotel and we instantly booked it. After 4 nights there...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
