This wonderful B&B offers two rooms to travelers, the Park Room and the Garden Room. We never saw the Park Room, but the Garden Room was absolutely perfect for us. Martijne and Bernard Neuhaus' B&B is opposite a lovely park and very near several tram lines which take you right to the heart of downtown Amsterdam in several minutes. We...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this extensive review! We are really happy that you felt so well in our house - it's what we as owners always secretly hope. Especially after the disaster on day 1, when your passports seemed to be lost, I think you could enjoy your stay here and Amsterdam twice as...

What a delightful place to stay. We spent 5 nights in the garden room and enjoyed it thoroughly. The room was quiet and it was a joy to have the excellent breakfast in the conservatory. Being out of the centre the area benefits from some decent local bars and restaurants where the prices are lower than in the centre of...

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review! If you once return to Amsterdam, you are very welcome again! You mention the local facilities. To explain: the area we live in (Oosterpark) is located just outside the old center with the presence of a university. Restaurants and bars are doing well because of the students. We...

Friendly, helpful and informative about places to go. Room was lovely and clean with a view over the back garden. There is a park opposite, and the location was handy for busses. We would definitely go back again.

We stayed in the park room and it was not a nice as we thought it would. The location of the B&B was quite far away from all the attractions except for the transportation system. We stayed 2 nights and if we are ever in Amsterdam again this won't be the place we will stay. The hosts were decent but nothing...

Thank you for this review, we appreciate all critical remarks. We regret that you were a bit disappointed and we want to apologize. We will stay trying to do our best to make guests feel fine in our house. But we are confused: we had no guests with your name, nor coming from Bristol, nor in April, nor the whole...

As two couples we occupied both available bedrooms and found each to be very comfortable. The hosts, very charming and extremely helpful, have equipped the bedrooms with every amenity a traveller would need. Breakfast set out in your room was a delight, with a super and plentiful range to choose from (we all loved the blueberry pancakes). About 30 minutes...

Thank you very much for your review! We're happy that you loved our breakfast (and pancakes). We serve breakfast in the rooms, but as you occupied both rooms, it was possible for the four of you to eat all together in the Garden room. You're always welcome back!

We stayed here for three nights in June. I had the the Park Room and my daughter and her husband stayed in the Garden Room. We had been in Europe for almost three weeks, and this was the nicest place we stayed. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Martijne and Bernard take care of small touches that they feel...

Thank you for your extensive and usefull review! The medical system in Holland is well organized, but it might look a bit complex to foreigners. So it was a good idea of you to ask us to help finding a doctor. And of course, you are very welcome once again!

We stayed in the Garden Room which we recommend. Martijne and Bernard are excellent hosts and were very helpful with recommendations and advice. Parkzijde is a block away from tram connections to take you either to the city center or to the museum district. Restaurants and shops for everything you need are within easy walking distance from the B&B. You...

My wife and I stayed in this charming B&B in Amsterdam as a three-day stopover on our way back from Ecuador, and we chose to occupy the Garden Room. This was an inspired choice. Parkzijde B & B is a cosy warm older home with very helpful people. It is a few minute tram or bus ride from the sea of people and bicycles at Amsterdams city center. There is no parking in the area of Parkzijde and the fines are apparently very high but there is a P & R lot close to...

Thank you very much for this review with all these helpfull information! Indeed, the P&R for a car is 1 euro a day plus a local transport ticket. That might be the one-hour ticket of 2.50 euros, but also day-tickets are valid. So If you buy a 1-day or more-days ticket (which you will need to travel around in Amsterdam),...

You find Parkzijde in front of the beautiful Oosterpark, just outside the busy city-center. The elegant house (1892) still remains conserved in its original style. The “Goede Kamer” (“good room”), where former residents used to welcome their guests, has a high decorated ceiling and marble chimney. The room at ground floor has a view of the park. The Garden room is located at the rear of the house and has access to its own conservatory, overlooking our garden. ... more   less
