Detailed Reviews
Documents for our stay, which included park tickets, room key and parking tickets, were mailed to our address in the UK approximately a week before arrival. This meant that we could arrive for the early opening for hotel guests without having to go to the hotmail first.
There were plenty of parking spaces in the hotel carpark.
We were able to go straight to our room without any need to check in at the front desk.
The room was a good size and could sleep 5 people, there were a couple of towels provided for each occupant.
The room and bathroom was beautifully clean.
Wi-fi was a pretty good speed.
Using our NHS COVID pass we were able to use the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast ( breakfast was included in room price) both meals we had at the hiatal were excellent.
The hotel is a lovely 15 minute walk through the wood to the park, the path is well light so no issues walking back after dark.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Spent a night here at Efteling Loonsche Hotel and the hotel is cozy and warm. Staff are approachable, friendly and helpful. The location is a bit far compare to Efteling hotel, although there is a small train which brings you infront of the park. The room we stayed on is ok. Ok as there is no coffee/ tea facilities, no bath to soak your body ( just a standing shower ), just a basic room with bed and tv. Breakfast is included if you stay overnight, which includes fruits, hot and cold beverages, bread and jams, egg and bacon, hams and cheese. It was a quite stay for us as it was Sunday to Monday only.
Overall, it’s ok hotel. Not bad but it could have been better.

So it speaks much about our experience. For those who are wondering whether to choose this or Efteling’s other vacation park Bosrijk, I say it depends on the age of your kids. Mine (both under 10) loved to play with the sand and water play area. Bosrijk doesn’t have that. Bosrijk does have a pool though which guests in Loonsche Land cannot access. Bosrijk is prettier, and more fairy tale-like with very serene houses on the lake but didn’t have many play areas for kids. Also if you are worried about the walk to park entrance, the path goes through a nice wooded area and before you know it, we were there. And we didn’t take 15mins, more like 10mins. Our hut type was lined up right next to the water/sand play area (there are 2 of these) and so this is the best choice for you if you want to keep an eye on your kids.

Outstanding hotel which is located 15 mins walk through woodland from Efteling main gates.
Check-in was a breeze using the app, which also acts as your room key. App also contains tickets to the theme park and an interactive walking map to locate the rides with live waiting times.
Lovely spacious family room. Kids loved the bunk beds.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Good choice of food and drinks which were all promptly delivered to the table.
Staff members throughout all very friendly. Accommodating us in the restaurant as a group of 12 who’d all booked different meal times was greeted with ‘no problem’ and we were all seated without any fuss or delay.
Normally, with hotels attached to theme parks, you expect the quality to be poor with such a captive audience. Not so at this hotel, we absolutely loved it!

We had an overnight stay at the Efteling.
Pros, the park itself is great. The hotel building is nice, situated next to the park and a nature reserve. staff are friendly. Early entry to park in the morning so you can get on a few favourite rides before public does.
Cons... The room we had was a standard room in the loonscheland hotel, and was the absolute basic it could be. No tea making facilities in the room, not much room to move about where you need to, no room at the side of the double bed. Basic! Despite costing double that I would expect to pay.
The food was the worst! A poorly written and presented menu. Very little food for kids despite being next to a kid's theme park. A tiny kids play corner. Food intolerances like gluten, dairy, nuts and garlic poorly catered for.
Waiting staff were quite rude.
Dont order steak or the flatbread, absolute garbage.
I will be visiting the park again, but won't be staying in the hotel again.

We stayed here to get a couple of days in Efteling at the end of a European road trip with our young family.
The hotel (and restaurant, separately reviewed) were lovely.
The room for two adults and three children was really nice; clean and well appointed and the kids loved the bunk beds with curtains.
All the staff were lovely and really helpful. We arrived early and the room was ready so early check in was given without batting an eyelid, allowing us to get into the park for a few hours.
The hotel is a 20 minutes walk (with kids) to the park through a forest. There is a shuttle bus, but we enjoyed the walk so didn’t use it.

€750 for two nights for three people in July, which isn’t bad compared to other theme park hotels. The room itself was basic, and although weather great room still looked gloomy and dull thanks to horrible wicker basket light fittings. Breakfast good quality each morning, although selection of food available better the morning we had it at 8 than 10.
Staff are young and not particularly knowledgeable. First day asked directions to hotel from entrance from passing staff, was told I don’t know. Tried to avail of pizza delivery to room, which should be done on app when logged in. Used qr code instead, was told couldn’t. Went to reception. Staff said only available till 9. I showed website and app where it says 9.30, she said it could be ordered from machine in reception. Food was good when it eventually arrived. Had dinner in restaurant one night. Service and food fine.

we booked our stay from Sunday 24th December christmas package. 2 nights.
We were already in Holland by the time we checked in.
Accommodation
APP did not work so could not get access to the accommodation and Efteling.
The APP only worked in reception but as soon as you step outside does not work. Hard copies were printed off for Efteling. A key card was given to us for accommodation.
The shelf to put your items in the bathroom was leaning at an unsafe angle. My daughter put her bath bag on it and it came off.
The curtains separating my husband I from our grown children in the bedroom came off its hinges (it could be put back but it was very high. Fortunately my husband 6"2 was able to tip toe and put it back.
Christmas breakfast
No sausage, but egg to your liking which was served in flower pots. The bacon was added on the top. I did not like this arrangement clearly to save money.
Not a lot of breakfast choice when staying with a family of 6
Christmas dinner
Had emailed a few times asking what this was as there was no menu. Was underwhelmed. It was a 3 course, cold veil we had for a starter. We had fish for our main course and during our second visit the fish was cold not cooked. My husband politely asked them to take it back. I am not fussy but my children wanted to have plain ice cream rather than the coconut one which looked like a bauble. It looked nice. This was replaced with a single tiny scoop of ice cream for my children and husband. I looked at the waiter as if to say really? and he glared back.
I was asking about CARO since September when I booked Efteling to be told fully booked, this was throughout September-December. When I arrived it was not showing. Dishonesty as it was not fully booked. The show was not on to begin with. I dont like that in a company
Felt very uncomfortable here won't return.

Stayed in a family room, with bunks for our two kids, which they loved. The room was spacious enough with a nice bathroom. The staff were so helpful and pleasant.
Just a couple of minor issues - our child vomited during the night and we needed some fresh bedding. There was absolutely no way of contacting reception by phone, so my husband had to get dressed and go down to reception in the middle of the night. The lady on reception was really helpful, though, and brought extra bedding very quickly.
Breakfast is a little chaotic and not very well laid out. E.g, no spoons next to cereal, toaster not beside the bread, etc. This is very minor as overall the food (breakfast and dinner) are very good.
If taking public transport to park, make sure to call ahead to arrange a pick up from the bus stop. We didn't know this was an option so we had a 30 minute walk from the bus stop to hotel, with luggage and two tired kids in tow.
We were very happy to avail of this service when we were leaving.
There's also a shuttle to and from the park approx every 15-20 minutes during park opening hours, which can be handy.

+1
A magical trip. The app was incredible and made it so easy to navigate the park. Wifi was a bit inconsistent (kept falling in and out) and my phone key card stopped working on the 2nd day. The room (treehouse) was a little cramped and no space for clothing. The food was of an excellent standard, especially the breakfast, De Profeytuyn and the park lunches. The only exception was Pinokkios which was awful in comparison - really not good (get yourself a better restaurant for before/after Caro!)
Caro show was astonishing and the standard of the park facilities in terms of space, cleanliness was incredible. Shout out to the lovely friendly staff and the hard working gardeners, beautifully managed gardens. The kids loved the lake play playgrounds at Loonsche nearly as much as the theme park itself! Wonderful, magical stay and enjoyed our three nights.

Hi don't know about flying as we drove there, we arrived on a Monday lunch time and left Friday afternoon, this have us enough time to do everything without having to rush about, you could do it in less days but would recommend at least 2 full days. There is plenty to do and see in-between rides, we went first week in June this year so can't say what it would be like in October. We loved it there, stayed in a lodge by lake which had plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 children ages 9 and 11, there was only one ride our 9yr old twins couldn't go on which was as had to be 140cm tall and that was the baron, all other rides were ok, our twins were 126cm.
Hi
I would think that is a good possibility as there are many supermarket outlets nearby. However why not decorate your own tree outside your accomodation. The festive feeling will be wonderful for you and your family at Efteling, I’m sure you will have a wonderful time,
