Detailed Reviews

This is a very comfortable hotel in a pleasant leafy suburb of Eindhoven. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and all spoke good English. The restaurant and outdoor terrace proved to be very popular, creating a great atmosphere. Air conditioning in the room worked well - luckily, as the temperatures were very high for the time of year. Wifi was free and worked well. There's plenty of free on-street parking available outside too.
Breakfast was very good quality, though the range of items was quite small. Coffee was excellent though, and eggs could be cooked to order. The bedroom was spacious enough for 2-3 days but a lack of storage might be a downside for a longer stay. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city centre, but it's a very nice stroll through quiet streets and parks.

We had a very nice stay over the weekend at Parkzicht. Rooms are specious and clean. Location is the best - very close to everything needed and also in very quiet part of town. We didnt have breakfast in the morning so I can say anything about that but staff at the front desk were very nice a helpfull.
We will defenetly be back :)

My first stay at this establishment was 55 years ago in 1960 on my first visit to Philips Eindhoven when it was still an old fashioned lovely sleepy city with few cars and bicycles everywhere. .In those days hotel costs were low and there was only one other more expensive hotel in Einhoven the Hotel Cocagne which although having many changes of management I have stayed at many times over the years. However last week as my usual hotel near the HTC was full I opted to try the Parkzicht for one night to bring back old memories That was a bad decision because my stay was not good . The only heating in the bedroom was from a blower in the ceiling which failed to deliver any warm air after midnight resulting in a very cold night for me. . There was no radiator or other heating in the shower room which was a poor substitute for a proper bathroom with bathtub found in most other modern hotels.
Next morning the hot breakfast options of scrambled egg , bacon and sausages were all luke warm
Overall this gave a bad impression . Whilst some modernisation had taken place since my last stay 55 years back it only appeared to be minimal . Most important is the absence of proper handrails on BOTH sides of the original steep staircase which has to be used because there is no elevator. Potentially dangerous for older guests without assistance .
There are better more modern hotels in Eindhoven at reasonable prices . Only attraction of the Parkzicht is its location opposite the Park and free street car parking in front of the hotel

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, opposite of a park, and only 15 min walk from the city centre. The parking at the hotel is free. Although we didn't try the restaurant, it seems to be very cosy, with a lot of customers having dinner/drinks. Regarding the room, it's clean, comfy and everything we'd expected from a standard room. No complaints there. We got a view on the park, which was definitely a plus. The staff was also friendly. Overall, we did enjoy our one night stay there.

I wasn't intending to stay in Eindhoven, as the main reason for this trip was to visit the Bosch exhibition in 's-Hertogenbosch. However, a lack of available rooms at a reasonable price in den Bosch made me look further afield.
Knowing Eindhoven is only a cheap, 20-minute train ride from den Bosch, I started looking for hotels there, and am so glad I found this one.
As I had I bought an ov-chipkaart for bus and train travel, I did take one of the very frequent buses (17, 171, 172, 173) from the station to the Parktheater stop. Most days I just walked, varying my route; the hotel reception provides a very useful map.
My first impression was excellent; the receptionist was very friendly, and tolerated my abysmal Dutch, in contrast to her perfect English! All the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.
The hand-written courtesy card in the bedroom was a nice touch. My room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view over the park.
I only ate one breakfast in the restaurant, but the buffet had an excellent selection of hot and cold choices.
If you like modern art, the van Abbemuseum is a short walk away (discounted tickets are available at the hotel reception), as is the open-air Eindhoven Museum.
All in all, this is a perfect hotel for a very reasonably priced stay in a quiet location with very easy access to the town centre.

The Parkzicht was recommended to me by a friend's daughter who thought that this would be a quiet place for me country boy. Well and yes, the hotel is only some 10 minutes walk from the city but just opposite a beautiful park, and in a very quiet part of Eindhoven. I hired a bicycle and was able to cycle to all the important places.
What I really liked was the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. They went all out to make my stay comfortable.
My room was ok, with a great view of the park. Breakfast ok, too. I did not try the restaurant because I had dinner at my friend's, but the bar was fine.
I would like to especially mention that the wi-fi worked great, with no cost and no need to enter strange codes.
There is no question that when I return to Eindhoven I shall choose this hotel again.

Our room had a "view" to the ventilation system and service area. It was more than horrible. It was a pity, they didn't mention it before.
But the hotel is in a very nice place, and the breakfast was also OK! The service was also fine.

I almost hesitate to tell people about the park hotel in Eindhoven because it's small and friendly and I don't what it to be full next time I try and book :-) I work in Eindhoven and have stayed in most of the hotels - The Dorint is great, but expensive, the Crown is good and very central, the Holiday Inn is over priced, and the Mandarin is unreliable, but the Parkzicht is where I mostly stay.. it is quiet, friendly, quite basic but more than sufficient. Best parts of staying in the Parkzicht are the staff and the location. Somewhere quiet to sleep, walkable into town, or they hire bikes if you want to go for that real Dutch feeling.

The rooms are very ordinary but clean and fairly large with all that you need. Opposite a nice park area and plenty of car parking outside. The restaurant is excellent with very pleasant understanding staff throughout.
